What is the best part of working at the company?
I genuinely love working for this company. The support from leadership and teammates is something you don’t find everywhere management truly wants you to succeed and grow. The training provided is thorough and sets you up with the skills and confidence needed to excel in your role.

What stands out most is the opportunity for growth. This is not just a job, it’s a career. There are clear paths for advancement, and hard work is recognized and rewarded. Coming from a women, the company also fosters an inclusive and respectful environment where everyone feels valued and heard.

They genuinely care about their employees’ well-being, both professionally and personally, which makes a huge difference in day-to-day work life. In the past year my employees have gotten multiple wage increases. Overall, it’s a positive, motivating workplace that I’m proud to be part of.

Upper management is approachable, supportive, and actually listens, which makes a big difference and shows they genuinely care about employees.

It’s a great fit for people who take pride in their work, are team-oriented, and want to grow. Like any workplace, expectations are high but very manageable, but for those willing to put in the effort and maintain a positive attitude, it’s a very rewarding place to be.

Coming from a retail background, the work-life balance and overall stress level here are far better than any job I’ve had before. It’s a much more positive and sustainable environment.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The role can be fast paced during peak season, but it keeps the work engaging and the days go by quickly. You have to be able to adapt to changes throughout the day.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is supportive, inclusive. As a woman where theres more males, I’ve always felt respected and treated equally.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day as a manager is fast-paced and requires strong multitasking. I’m constantly moving between helping customers and supporting the front, managing operations and backend tasks, and assisting technicians with calibrations, chip repairs, and preparing vehicles for delivery. You’re always learning something new, and the variety makes it a very engaging and rewarding role. Some managers are also technicians. Run the store like its your own.

The job is Very complex and requires an incredible level of multi-tasking. It also is an information over load type of job where you must adapt and learn a large amount of information and be able to adapt and execute tasks quickly and efficiently. I find the job very satisfying intellectually, & I liked interacting with the company's diverse clientele. The company also pays well and offers decent wage increases annually.

However, they poorly train staff which causes a huge turnover. Not everyone can adapt to a work environment where a massive amount of information is required to be memorized and applied to various tasks you have to figure out for yourself. Management is mostly MIA and always in meetings. Supervisors are not helpful and their "preferred" employees are the individuals who receive both small promotions or are trusted with more responsibility. Egos run VERY HIGH in management, & their "preferred" employees sdo relay any or all information discussed within the department. Therefore, laying low, having superficial conversations, and just doing your work efficiently will get you by without any problems. Forget about having a life or having family or personal emergencies the scheduler is not accommodating nor are the supervisors understanding. 

Therefore, this is just a JOB. You go in, be friendly, avoid management, learn as you go, & collect a pay check. I work there for a number of years until I found a better job. I am a very patient person; it is a definite virtue to possess if you are to survive the work culture. For the salary it was worth it for me to remain there and accumulate work experience, which contributed to my finding a better job. The ends justified the means in my case.

After years with Belron I had to sadly leave. With new management came a complete nightmare. Extremely disrespectful lower management which was made well aware by ALL the employees to middle management. So what was done to stop an extremely toxic, miserable, sexist work environment? NOTHING.  Not a single thing. 

From the outside looking in it really does appear to be a great company to work for and for me it really was.....until, like I said new management.  So when after myself and every person on staff spoke up we were told to "reset". Basically ignore being belittled, embarrassed in front of the staff, and the sexist comments and just start over, because this manager has "potential". How can a company believe this behavior an asset and not protect the employees from this??

So basically the only options were to deal with it, or leave. So after 7 years for this company this is what they felt myself, and others deserve for our loyalty? Not acceptable, so I left.

Dont walk......run from this company.

I worked there for almost three years and what I liked most was working with my colleagues who were so much funny. 
The worst things were the IT management and culture of the company. The managers are supposed to lead technical people and to take technical decisions but they have nothing to do with the least technical knowledge. Worst than that, they are more managers than employees and they are  always, eight hours per day,  each and every day, all together in meeting. 

If you are well paid then, they put a lot of pressure on you so that you have only two solutions either you get sick or you should leave. What it is a priority today it is no more tomorrow. 
For three years, I saw two IT directions left. Before I quit, almost all my colleagues were new. 

Good job if you are a low profile or you don't find anything else better. Avoid as much as possible to interfere with managers.Tell them what they want to hear only.

A typical day at work involves working on vehicles, driving them in the city for calibrations, using a variety of power tools and hand tools

I am almost completely done my level 1 which is 3510 hours I  18 months I have been there.

My manager and regional manager have been very awesome and supportive. 

As far as pay goes to give you some back story I was hired on at 19$/hr with 0 glass technician experience. I am a very hard worker and a fast learner I understand some people don't have the work ethic I do but my company in 18 months has given me 4 raises and I am now at $27.00/hr so if you want it and earn it they will pay. 3 windshields per day I got $21.30/hr. 5 windshields a day I got $25.00/hr and I now can do 6-10 per day(not easy) but if you are competitive and a good worker you can make good money

My experience working at Speedy Glass (Belron) was very negative. The work culture lacked support, leadership was ineffective, and there were no real opportunities for growth. Overall, I cannot recommend this company as a good place to work.

Working for Belron Canada has helped me a lot in my career development. The management is usually open to allowing you to work on various side projects that may interest you. The salary is slightly lower than the market however the benefits are great. It is a very flexible company where you can request changes to your schedule if necessary.

The hardest part of the job is the politics. There are some employees and upper management that still have the older mentality and are a little resistant to change. That tends to limit what can be done to make the company better.

In Vancouver Kingsway shop, We have the best boss, best crews, best trainer, and a good working environment. 
Starts the day with checking the job on queue, then execute the tasks needed. 
Sometimes need to multi-task, but very manageable for me.
Carrying some heavy windshields and other parts might be tough but others crews are there to help and tools are available too.
We normally annoy each other while working to maintain a lively and open communication working environment.

Aside from their dynamic changes in their management over the 12 years I was there, if you were serious and did your job well, it was great getting to work everyday. Even after their management crisis, where suck ups would have beneficial treatment which was remedied and cleaned-up          (though a tad too late), Belron Canada always takes care of their emplyees. After having to make changes due to restructuration, they accompanied every employee in their career transition.

Not bad pay compared to other places for the same job.  Can be very busy and stressful. I find that the focus is moving away from customer service to basically trying to get as much insurance work as possible...it's all about numbers and percentages and not about the customer service anymore.   I get docked for a half hour lunch, but good luck trying to have it uninterrupted.
