This is the worst place I’ve ever worked.

I joined this restaurant from the very first day they opened their Scarborough branch and consistently gave my 100% effort across every role I was assigned. Unfortunately, hard work and dedication are not valued here — only a small group of favored individuals seem to be appreciated, and fairness is not part of the work culture.

The tipping system is poorly managed, leading to a lack of transparency and fairness. Weekly schedules are a complete mess — even though management knows the restaurant gets extremely busy, they continue to assign only a few employees per shift, causing unnecessary stress and making it impossible to focus on assigned duties properly.

Instructions from supervisors vary frequently, causing confusion among staff. Communication is difficult as well, as some supervisors have poor English pronunciation, which affects daily operations.

Leadership overall is extremely weak. Management frequently hires and fires employees without clear reasons, which is why they struggle to build a stable, experienced team. I personally was terminated at the end of a shift without any prior warning or valid explanation, despite directly asking for one.

The management approach is highly disappointing. If you are considering applying here, I strongly advise you not to waste your time.

A typical day at work was busy and stressful, but I enjoyed serving customers and working with my coworkers. I learned how to handle high-pressure situations and improved my communication and teamwork skills.

Unfortunately, management was terrible — they were overly strict, made unreasonable demands, and treated employees poorly. For example the  tips were often taken or not given to us workers (so we only can take 50% of it) , and shady decisions were made behind the scenes. Wasting money too, stupid business tactics that cause workers hour decrease. They even fired employees without any notice, creating an unstable and hostile work environment. (My experience) 

The hardest part of the job was dealing with management’s unfair treatment and unrealistic rules. The most enjoyable part was interacting with customers and learning the flow of a busy restaurant.

 the team environment was probably the best part. Most of my coworkers were friendly, supportive, and willing to help each other out during busy times. Management was approachable for the most part; they were open to feedback and tried to accommodate scheduling needs when possible, which made balancing work and personal life a lot easier.

However, there were definitely areas for improvement. Staffing was often an issue — there were many shifts where we were short-handed, especially during peak hours, which led to a lot of stress and sometimes upset customers. While management was supportive individually, higher-level leadership didn’t always seem in touch with what was happening on the floor. Promotions and raises were also pretty slow to come by, even for hardworking employees.

Tips or bonuses (if available) weren’t significant, and the workload could sometimes feel heavier than what the pay reflected.


Typical day starts with group meeting and they have a supervisor go through any updates. Once you start working it's chaos. There endless people coming in and supervisor doesn't have a clue of where to seat people down and people stand in the back complaining to you. Then management will try to find every small mistake you make and make you feel bad about yourself. End of the day when you try to get off from work you can never leave if the store is busy. Also, they only give you portion of the tip (25% for first 2 weeks and 50% next), which seems very wrong. If you ever come from Asian country and feel like you wanna feel like home try working here. You'll work like there's no tomorrow with none of the benefits.

An unsustainable work environment and the company culture prioritize profit over people.

The job was stressful, understaffed, and physically exhausting.

A typical day is physically demanding and fast-paced. 
It includes:
- extensive cleaning tasks in addition to regular responsibilities
- often with a heavy workload and high pressure to finish everything within a limited time.

One staff member is covering responsibilities that would normally require two people.



I worked at this place for a month and a half and I learned everything they taught me. No managers really gave any negative feedback that I didn't fix right away.
The work environment was fast paced but with most people nice to work with. I didn't perform any differently during my 3 month probation.
Then I was fired.
No warning or any feedback why, just the manager telling me that I didn't meet their standards based on feedbacks they received from my supervisors.
Why didn't I get feedback? Only logical conclusion was that I was just a temp fill in hire.


I worked from the day the store opened, helping with the setup. They hired many people initially but fired them based on their needs without providing reasonable explanations. I gave my 100% effort to work and was always on time, but they never valued the employees' contributions. There was a lack of support for the staff, and the reasons for firing people were unclear. I worked in the back of house (BOH), and there were no clear roles for growth—employees were expected to learn and do everything. It felt like a complete waste of time, and it's better to find another job.

Pros: Free meals during breaks.






This place is one of the worst place I’ve ever worked at. Some coworkers will judge you based on your appearance and supervisors don’t care about the staff and their wellbeing. If you’re lucky you’ve worked their for a long time and the managers like you, you will get more tips. But that also means the “extra” tips you received are deducted from other unlucky coworkers’. Very unreasonable and unfair tipping system

The coworkers are great, but the managers are very bad, often picking on and squeezing their employees for no reason at all, not caring at all about their efforts, and not caring at all about their feelings for the sake of profit, and you end up getting your hours cut for no reason at all, resulting in a lot of people leaving in a short amount of time. Everyone is physically and mentally exhausted.

The manager doesn't really care about your skills you're just overworked robot and underpaid, they don't train you unless they want to you can meet some good people there but in general you'll still feel like you don't belong , your typical day will be just overwhelming job  until you clock out
