Bosley's-By-Petvalu

Fast paced, fun and friendly environment. I loved working at the Bosley’s on Lonsdale. I worked there for over 6 years. If you love dogs this is a great job. I do believe the wages could be better and benefits should be offered to all employees working for the company over a certain amount of time. With that being said, I earned enough to live more than comfortably in North Vancouver and had an amazing first job experience working for Bosley’s. Must be 18+ to work for the company. Must be able to lift 40+ pounds, and be reasonably fit for moving things around store and doing carry outs for customers etc.

Absolutely horrible management and abusive workplace environment to the point of confirmed depression and anxiety. 
Head office just brushes your complaints off and nothing comes from reported abusive behavior. Only hires part time so no benefits worth while and subjected to cut hours and even one 5 hour shift a week.
I love the job itself but when it has continues snide comments, getting sweared at and anything you do is not good enough but because the manager makes the store money, they are valued above a long time employed employee. Do not work here.

Terrible management, no advancement opportunities, bare minimum medical dental coverage, minimum wage with no hope of increase despite what they say, stuck up customers, condescending “help” desk, no communication from head office to stores.

Overall excellent place to work if you love a relaxed environment and working around pets often, I actually miss working here however I had to look for alternative employment as they didn’t have enough hours to give.

I worked for great bosses in the corporate store who genuinely cared about me. The company as a whole is going in a good direction. The work itself is fun as you get to interact with humans and animals in between tasks.

This is a typical entry level customer service job. Everything product knowledge-wise is trained on job as well as online. No benefits. Minimum wage. Flexible hours.

Lots of great people and an amazing environment to work. Everyone from the customers to the management are really friendly! Plus getting to see all the animals are a plus! Such a fun place to work!

Lots to do with little pay roll to do it
Goals are sometimes unrealistic with a new store being open 
Company was not willing to do any advertising to help the store grow
