Since the job is in the food and beverage department at an amusement park, there is no shortage of entertainment. Everyday is like a new experience due to the vast crowds that attend the park daily. 

However, this also meant that majority of the days, specially in the food and beverages department, were extremely busy. Often times, customers would get annoyed and dispel their anger on the workers. This coupled with the fact that the kitchen was directly behind the cash counters, hence constantly engulfing the work area in heat, made it challenging to serve customers (specially angry ones) without losing a calm state of mind. It was also during these times, that supply runs for shortages of certain food items became slow which further contributed to customers losing their temper.

Other than those aforementioned complications, working at Canada's Wonderland is enjoyable. The company hires a lot of young students so it is very easy to socialize with the common "modern lingo" and effortlessly make friends. Workers also get access to a lot of the park's events - such as barbecues, stunt shows and on-stage acts - which keeps the work experience changing pleasantly throughout the work term.

Working at Six Flags La Ronde was a fast-paced and rewarding experience that taught me how to work under pressure while keeping a positive attitude. The environment is dynamic, with thousands of visitors daily during peak season, which helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to problem-solve quickly. One of the best parts of the job was the teamwork – everyone, from supervisors to seasonal employees, worked together to keep operations running smoothly and ensure guests had a memorable visit.

The company offers excellent opportunities for young professionals and students looking for their first work experience, as it teaches responsibility, time management, and customer service skills. There are opportunities to take on more responsibility as you gain experience, which is motivating and builds confidence. The schedule can be demanding during peak periods, but it also fosters discipline and resilience. Overall, I recommend Six Flags La Ronde to anyone seeking a challenging yet fun workplace where you can grow personally and professionally while contributing to an exciting, guest-focused environment.

As a supervisor, you would have to work with your supervisory team to manage all the staff and ensure your unit operates efficiently. Supervisors must also communicate with the area managers/ supervisors about the unit's operations and report what's going on during the day, and if needed, to get any problems resolved immediately. The most difficult part of the job is when staffing is low and results in more work for the staff present, low levels of customer service, and the lists goes on. You have to quickly think and try to resolve it and try to maintain the operations of your unit. Also, you are accountable for most things that occur in the unit; with guests, with staff, etc, even when it is out of your control, which sucks, but that is part of the job. The job does not pay well compared to what you have to do. However, the experience of the job is worth it because you meet TONS of people from your unit, other units from other areas and make great friends.

Very long hours. 13 hour shifts as much as up to 6 days a week. You make a lot of money because all you do is work. Only benefit is getting free entry into the park but you are there at least 6 days a week so the other day there is no want or need to be there. Management is abusive and unappreciative. Will keep you there and make you do things they do not want to do. Employees are used to being yelled at for things they have no part in, for making a mistake, for doing something wrong the first time they do it, and so much more. Eventually I could not take the long hours or abuse and had no other option but to quit. I am a senior high school student who was scheduled to work Monday through Saturday during the school year. They refused to change my schedule and it did not work out. They do not train their employees and throw them into the field with limited knowledge and unanswered questions.

As a food and beverage associate, things get extremely repetitive and boring, but if you make some friends it’s actually not bad at all working here. It also really depends on the location you get put at. The place I worked still got pretty busy, but it was not big and very easy to clean. I was able to make friends and have conversations all the time, which made it a lot better than working somewhere like rides where you’re stuck in one place and can’t really talk to anyone.

Sometimes the job can feel a bit unfair depending on your placement and workload. Some spots are way more chill while others are constantly slammed, but everyone is basically treated the same, which can get frustrating. Overall though, if you get a decent location and good coworkers, the job is pretty manageable. Make sure to be nice to your managers and you will be fine.

A typical day at work involved prepping the assigned theatre for the guests' arrival, answering guest enquiries, facilitating guest seating, crowd control, maintaining theatre cleanliness throughout the day and enforcing park regulations

While working with this company it gave me the opportunity to meet, work, and interact with many new people on a daily basis and this greatly strengthened my social skills. 

Supervisors were kind and concerned for their employees' well-being. 

The hardest part of the job came with standing outside in the heat of the summer.

The most enjoyable part of the job was the social aspect. Among supervisors and fellow ushers alike, I was able to meet some interesting individuals.

(Six Flags Montreal, La Ronde.) If it's your first summer there you'll probably be on call. This means that you can do anywhere between 0 - 80 hours in two weeks (all depends on your seniority). However, once you get a specific schedule, you work 80 hours every 2 weeks from the last week of June to the last week of August. It's unionized (there's 2 different ones, Cols bleus and Cols blancs), but both offer higher-than-minimum-wage salaries and breaks are partly paid. The workdays are usually 12 hours, so that's either good or bad depending on personal preference. You make a lot of good friends and the supervisors are very chill (most of them).

It was amazing, great and pretty much fun jobs that you could have. it may be overwhelming and quite busy, but you can also make new friends alongside with it as well. However,  I wished that there would be better candidates for management/supervisors as well. You would see someone be treated very badly because they were ordering food from the place they work at to have for lunch, while the same supervisors and management team were eating INSIDE the workplace, it was obviously a clear definition of toxic workplace hierarchy. Please hire people with actual skills and morals instead of hiring just about anybody. 

It’s just bad. The management has favourites. If you’re not a favourite, you wont get promoted into an actual good salaray job. They are so down bad they promote highschoolers to team lead roles. They put a lot of pressure on you and think your job is so easy. They look down on ‘red shirts’ because they are at entry position. DO NOT APPLY FOR SUPERVISOR OR TEAM LEAD. PURE DRAMA. If your not a favourite, they dont care if your getting bashed on from your whole area. They rather give you an evaluation saying that YOU need to improve. Not to mention the constant counseling forms they give out even if they dont have PROOF. Idiots 

I started my day at two o'clock in the afternoon and i usally finished at 10. I learned who too set the games for the customers and too always had a waterbottle why me. The management was good in overall, but was really strict about small details. I didn't had the chance to really know my co-work at SixFlags LaRonde, because the only time they spoke to me was when they reprimanded me because I was new there. I think that was the hardest part of the job. The part I enjoyed the most in the job was when I was speaking with the customers too explain the rules of the game. It was nice because I had the chance too work outside.
