Central Stamping

Hourly employees generally start out as Temporary Part Time (TPT) workers. If you have a strong work ethic, are dependable and a quick learner, you have a good chance of being hired full-time. If not, you won't. It's a union shop, and although TPTs pay union dues, they're not union members until they are hired full time. It's loud and fast-paced, and depending on the job, pretty dirty sometimes. Shift work, split between Day (6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) and Afternoon (3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.), rotating every 2 weeks. Management can be intrusive, but generally stay out of your hair if you're a good worker. Some overtime is available, and usually on a volunteer basis. It may sometimes get slow in the summer months, and lay-offs are possible. And speaking of summer, the plant gets hot, so hydration is key. 

Central stampings is a pretty good place to work with some chance for opportunity. There are better places to work that pay a little more, or have a few more perks in the benefits package, But it's a job and the people really make the place.
I started out as a General Processor and after a few months I took the opportunity to become a forklift driver. After another couple of months I applied and got the Auto Press operator job. I've learned alot and have gained much experience in the past 1 and a half. Being able to use this experience and knowledge in countless workplaces is invaluable. It's gets super hot in the summer and the days can sometimes drag, but this place ain't so baaaad.

The workers are very good.most are new.

Training is non-existent they expect you to know everything before you even start.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Most of the workers are friendly and helpful. Most people are new high turnover rate

Fast pace but reasonable day goes by pretty quick

Experience too be gained and lots of overtime

High production pressure not super stress full but depends on the person

Work environment is vary safe and is there first priority

8 hour do your job and go home

A decent place to work.  Starting wage is comparatively high.  Supervisors are usually reasonable.  One can apply to be trained for higher-paying positions.

Worked as a student TPT, unfortunately once I graduated I was no longer a student, or I would of stayed. Really not to much else, if you're looking for a typical factory job, this is it.

Fast paced, team work, continues improvement and excellent customer relations  was always the way

Central stamping is  one and a million. Work hard and watch your parts and numbers and quality and you’re set. Most friendly people I’ve ever met in my life 

Only worked as a part-time worker. Worked mostly full time during the summer off of school. Decent workplace, sometimes got forced to work overtime.

it would get really hot in the summer it was not the best. The pay was not good for the job we did . It could have been a bit dangerous at time the chemicals were really harsh
