worked for them for nearly five years, great work life balance. excellent job security with the exception of some of the management after five years of employment i can honestly say its very difficult to work under a bunch of un educated people that have no experience at anything out side of the casino. With multiple levels of management to deal with on a daily bases, and none of them knowing what the other is saying or doing makes for an extremely frustrating work environment, The companies unwillingness to pay their supervisors and management means they are promoting people with no experience/education. I have had to work under someone who was clearly under the influence of drugs while "running the pit and being the floor manager" The day shift is a very difficult shift to work because of the managements clear playing of favourites luckily for me i never had to deal with this, but have witnessed on multiple occasions management write up or give a person a hard time for a minor what we will call an "infraction" while then turning to the table next to it and letting the other dealer get away with it. I did learn a lot of math skills and a ton of customer service skills... ( not that they train you in that but you either learn or you don't make it) The two most difficult parts of this job hands down are the management and keeping your regular poker players happy. My co workers for the most part   where awesome and i enjoyed working with them. The hands down best part of this job is the amount of work life balance and the ability to get pretty much all the time off you want or need.

I worked as a slot attendant for this organization for about a year. The job itself is pretty straightforward. On job training is provided and, for the most part I felt supported by the management team. 

There is potential room for growth within the company; however, depending on what department you work in, preference is frequently given to those favored for social reasons (friends with managers). I frequently witnessed what would/could be viewed as conflicts of interest (for example, one of the servers/bartenders dating one of the surveillance/security guards; and, them frequently spending working time socializing with each other. Or, management including themselves in the tip pool. 

Any tips given to staff by patrons (other than servers/bartenders) is to be put into a larger "tip pool." These tips are then split up and distributed equally amongst ALL the employees (as mentioned already, this includes management). This was a point of contention for me personally because, tips/gratuities are typically given to service workers for going above and beyond. Yet, under this model, all employees are rewarded REGARDLESS of their work ethics. 

In addition to these concerns, the job itself is SO boring. As a slot attendant you spend the better part of your 8 hour shift aimlessly doing laps around the building and cleaning. 

Great job for someone looking for "easy" money with very little effort 

Wage is terrible. The company uses the fact that we make tips to justify this which isn't right. 
There is zero incentive to "move up" in the company, in fact when a new supervisor is hired, they actually are making less than me not to mention there is no union protection for them. 
Having said all that, there are some great things about the place. The front line staff are generally great to work with. There are a handful of core people that keep things somewhat "normal" and make it worth while. If you enjoy drama and work place affairs and relationships this is a great place to work lol 
If you're able to keep your head down and stay out of the drama and do your job and balance then you're golden. 
Nice to just put in a uniform and go to work and when you leave, the job is left at the door and you can go home without worry.
The benefits are quite good, only wish there was a pension plan. 
Main reason I stay is for the tips and flexible schedule. Can be a great gig if you're going to school or to supplement other income.

I had a terrible experience working here. I was told that I had no experience doing things that I was clearly capable of doing because I have done them in the past. I was let go with no notice and was not ever written up or given any verbal warnings that I would be let go. Was promised things that never happened and then gaslight when I called them out about it. They will use you until they have no need for you anymore. If you complain, you will be treated even worse. Work here if you want to be treated really poorly and be made to cry and be miserable every day at work.   Worst place I have worked in a long time!! I was not respected whatsoever. The managers are an absolute joke. I am so disgusted at how I was talked down to and how the managers handled me bringing the disrespect to their attention. What a horrible place to work.

I enjoyed working here.  A typical day at work would begin at 5pm and end at 1am.  I was responsible for paying out jackpots, which ranged from 250.00 -200,000.00.  I was also responsible for simple slot machine maintenance.  I learned a great deal about casino policies and how to handle cash accurately in a very busy atmosphere.  The management were all great and treated the employees very well.  I became very close with my co-workers and enjoyed spending time with them inside and outside work.  The hardest part of the job was when many jackpots came in at once.  You were not supposed to keep people waiting when paying them I had to be very fast and accurate when giving people their winnings.  I enjoyed the employees along with the management staff.  We would have a great time with patrons and kept the atmosphere fun, which is what a casino is all about.  

This organization treats their server like the lower of the species. I would suggest not waste your time. If you don't believe me look at their ad and I quote can you stand for long periods of time....I don't know can most people stand for eight hours and never take a break.  The staff is miserible and I don't blame them. That's what you get when your under paid and over worked.  I guess the standing for long period of time does that to a person.  If your really desperate I guess go work there but I would suggest welfare you will make more money.  Think about it when you see a company constantly advertising for server it's not because nobody know how to serve there is a reason for that it's pretty self explanatory don't make the mistake it's not fun and it's a really degrading experience that I suggest you save yourself from encountering.

Being aware of how much people are drinking and keeping in contact with all departments to keep all employees and patrons safe.

The work environment is a medium paced and fun place to be. The company feels like home.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day was serving patrons delicious food or alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages around the building.

The definition of a toxic work environment. you will be paid a few cents above minimum wage, with the exception of sevuroty. Management plays favourites, but are mostly bullies. They will take any opportunity to write-up, suspend, or cut hours of staff. Employees crying on shift is a common occurance. Complaints of harassment and bullying fall on deaf ears. You will be forced into overtime (a max of additional 4 hours, even on 10 hour shifts) if you have a prior commitment such as kids, a doctor's appointment or a second job they will still force you to work after your schedule shift and discipline/suspend you if you refuse. 

If you value your sanity, stay away.

The job and culture is not horrible but they seriously underpay their employees.  The benefits are only partially paid for and they are really rather poor.  The company will not give a cent if they don't have to and will not cover anything beyond what is absolutely required.  The management also puts on an air that they are doing you a favour and you can be replaced at any time.

No work/life balance as the manager doesn't give you a schedule until 2 days before your next schedule. The manager makes you do all his work while he's on his laptop doing who knows what. He's never there anyway so don't expect any support!
Have fun watching addicts lose all their money and elderly's urinate themselves in their chairs.
What the count room as million$ roll in and you don't get a cut (surveillance workers don't get a part of the tips even though they need to know every job in the casino and the casino can't open without them).
Low moral among workers. Bad environment to work in.
