A typical day at work involves commuting to a Sephora location, checking in with the Sephora team, setting up the CT gondola for success by restocking and cleaning it when it is not busy. Most of the day you are preparing the content for your daily report, keeping note of your sales, keeping note of whats happening in the store event-wise etc. I learned a lot about the Sephora culture and environment. The hardest part of the job is achieving the hourly sales goal. With Sephora having many popular, and newer brands, it can be challenging to recruit/convert clients. Unfortunately in Sephora, there are no seats for the client to perch,  unless they are having a paid service at Sephora, which can only be carried out by a Sephora trained make-up Artist. Therefore it can be hard to give the client an elevated CT  service in comparison to department stores that have an actual CT Counter with seats and encourage CT services.  The most enjoyable part of the job is the friendly CT team and certain heart-warming client experiences.

A typical day would include a fast-paced selling environment, product application, customer consultation and team selling opportunities.

Management was understanding and helpful with work-life balance. 

Sometimes difficult to keep up with rapidly increasing sales goals. Very competitive.

freelance makeup artist. Hours are not steady for any freelance artist. Great company with great management. Great hourly rate. Howeever freelance artist are only scheduled for special events, such a product launches, fashion shows, anniversary.

They are not interested in Makeup Artists, only pushy sales people who don't mind having no individuality. Their rules are sexist and the CEO has absolutely no care about her employees.
