Must learn about the products you are selling and must be personable and charismatic in order to succeed as a retail sales representative for Charm. Training is mandatory and is provided, also will be tested regularity by management to assure skills are building and knowledge is retained. Sometimes sales goals are recognized by Store managers because they want you to succeed and sell (they will also sell with you), this aspect was very helpful.

Annual Sales goals are typically only reachable if you are working full time, otherwise part-time workers may only reach minimum annual sales achievements. Sales Annual bonus is heavily taxed, Ex: $1000.00 bonus = $650-750.00 after taxes as a part time employee. Employees must stand for entirety of shift minus allotted breaks. 

lovely looking products however the quality was not always present (sorry but it's true). 
This position helped with transferable skills such as socially interacting, professionalism, retention, deescalation, and team building opportunities. Employee must care about being there, in other words, this is not a desk job and you will need to smile a lot.

Overall great part time job for anybody looking to move into management, completing secondary education, or just enjoy selling jewelry to the public.

A typical day at work at Charm is a lot of fun combined with getting the job done. I have learned that sugar works better than salt in most given situations with staff as well as guests. The management of this company is amazing. With a great support team and system in place combined with a quality regional management team: we cant lose. A fun culture has been created and encouraged by the owners and area sales managers. Very family operated feel with the benefit of having many locations for product as well as location change transfers if you move. The hardest part is what you make it. The job is very rewarding in many ways if you are passionate and confident in what you do.The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing happiness in the eyes of a recipient of a gift or a service from our store. And... I am proud to say that I work for a fantastic Canadian owned and managed company that still has family values, high standards and integrity.

As a Sale representative at Charm Diamond Centre we try to build connections with customer, as the catchword of company is " win the customer for life", makes the environment more fun and friendly, both for employees and customers.
as well as it challenging at the same time since we work on the commission which really gives great goals for working for this company.

While there is a base salary, the staff depend on commission for a bulk of their wages so you can expect a lot of gossip and malice. Management offered no training and almost no hours but expected me to make as much sales as the full time staff who had worked there for years. There is ageism. They will not respect you if you are young. Overall unhealthy work environment 

I had a wonderful time at Charm, work was very monotonous and repetitive, but the colleagues were amazing. the management was really life and their work culture was amazing. The commission was not very high, but always winning a sale is something to look forward to. Some nights are really boring tho. Wonderful place to work but wished the pay was higher...

It used to be a good place to work, upper management was not so great.  I just sold jewellery, took payments, took in repairs, changed batteries in watches.  We had a great team but things change.

Manager weak in leading team. Staff on whole is wonderful. Great team environment. There is some support from head office. Great pressure to sell and meeting your metrics.

This was a great place to work with fantastic coworkers. there is a lot to learn. It’s a fun place to work, but it’s tempting to buy the jewellery. Vey satisfying.

Manager steals sales, time theft and is overall horrible. Several of us quit at the same time. Reported to upper management and they obviously stand by their unethical employees

A lot of fun and loved the job but needed to work full time.  They enabled me to go to school full time by being flexible with my hours.  Really appreciated that.
