I would rate my experience working here 2/5 stars.

A typical day at work was very fast-paced and often understaffed, despite there being enough employees available. Shifts required constant multitasking across multiple front-of-house positions, along with handling guest concerns and supporting the team. As a manager, I was also responsible for maintaining operations, often with limited support.

I did gain valuable skills during my time here, especially in leadership, communication, and handling high-pressure situations. It also helped me better understand what I value in a workplace and what I expect from upper management.

Management was one of the most challenging aspects of this job. There was a noticeable level of favouritism that was not backed by performance or work ethic. Communication from leadership was often unclear or nonexistent, especially regarding scheduling decisions like reduced hours. Serious concerns were not always handled with the level of attention or care they deserved.

The workplace culture was difficult at times. While there were some great individuals, the overall environment could feel toxic, with frequent tension between staff and high turnover. There were also moments where the culture felt exclusionary, which made it harder to feel fully supported.

The hardest part of the job was navigating the work environment itself—managing stress, conflict between coworkers, and a lack of consistent leadership.

The most enjoyable part of the job was interacting with guests and building connections with them. That aspect made shifts more rewarding and reminded me why I enjoy working in hospitality.

Let me get this straight, the workers there in the time I worked there are TOP notch. the most fun and amazing people I worked with. The problems are with people in upper management and the owner. I had to drop a shift due to a mental breakdown and went to the hospital. I was dealing with depression and my lowest point and I had still let them know why I couldn't make the shift and they didn;t care one bit. The owner Wilson watches you till you make a mistake and embarrasses you and never says good job, it;s never hey, how are you? Just hey you're doing this wrong. They don't give a s*** if you broke your leg or anything. The amount of work you do and how much your paid is bs. I almost broke my back cleaning the freezer and carrying the fries boxes because no else wanted to and I still get a notice saying I should improve my performance? Awesome Wilson you should get your a** to doing something besides calling people out for the smallest of things. By far the owner made it from the best place I worked at to the worst because of his presence and ignorance. You do get free food but ONLY 30 min breaks, ou and unpaid breaks! you can get your self another 30 min break if you work more than 8 hours! and the breaks won't be combined just scheduled separate and it takes about 20 mins to get your break so enjoy that 10 min break. A lot of workers of color also faced issues solely based on their color. I hope Wilson one day can take a look at him self and realize the issues he causes and becomes a better owner and leader. learn HOW to lead. It's not tough love when you s*** on workers. S*** on managers for working LONG hours and saving your business when Chick fil a was busy as h*** and you still fire them

One of the highlights of working at Chick-fil-A is the sense of camaraderie among the team members. Everyone is willing to lend a hand and support each other, creating a positive work atmosphere that makes even the busiest shifts more manageable.

While the pay is average for the industry, I do feel that it could be a bit higher considering the level of responsibility and hard work required in the role. However, the supportive environment and opportunities for growth make up for this shortfall to some extent.

Overall, my experience as a Back-of-the-House Team Member at Chick-fil-A has been positive. I've learned a lot, grown as a professional, and formed meaningful connections with my coworkers. I can only speak to my experience at the specific Chick-fil-A location where I worked, but the work environment was highly competitive and, at times, unhealthy. Employees were expected to maintain an overly cheerful and energetic demeanor, which often felt insincere and forced, especially when interacting with customers.

There was also a lack of transparency regarding compensation. The wage listed on the company's website initially led us to believe we would be offered that rate. However, after going through the entire application and hiring process, we were informed that the starting wage would actually be lower, with the promise that after three months of employment, we would receive the full, advertised rate.

The workplace was also characterized by excessive micromanagement. Supervisors often closely monitored every aspect of employees' performance, which added to the stress and pressure already felt in the environment. We weren’t even allowed to take a breather during non-busy hours. Management also employed a demerit system, where even minor mistakes were penalized, and I observed noticeable favoritism among staff. Certain individuals appeared to receive preferential treatment, while others were unfairly criticized. Rather than offering constructive feedback or additional training for employees struggling to meet expectations, the response often involved reducing their shifts, which left little opportunity for improvement and loss in morale.


Chick-fil-A is a pretty cool place to work for many reasons. First, the company is known for its positive and friendly work environment. As a first job, working at Chick-Fil-A was beneficial. But the majority of supervisors and some employees have a contemptuous attitude. Only if you are kind to them will they care about you. There are numerous issues with this workplace. I am aware that half of the people I worked with indicated they disliked the company but were unable to quit since no other employers would hire them. The management won't appreciate you and almost always have a negative attitude. Someone once ended their shift but was not allowed to go, and when they wanted to go home, they were all ignored and forced to stay another two hours! If one person transgresses, they take away. Your complimentary lunch is taken away if you are late. You must now purchase your own cups. Overall, I don't think this is a decent place to work because no one there will respect you and if you claim you can't work on a particular day any longer, you'll probably be removed. Additionally, the manager only allows three call-ins each year? If you exceed, you will be fired. 

Working at Chick-fil-A was a rewarding experience. The company emphasizes excellent customer service, which creates a positive work environment. Training is thorough, ensuring that all employees understand the importance of hospitality and efficiency. I appreciated the flexible scheduling, which was perfect for balancing work with my studies. The team dynamic was supportive and collaborative, making shifts enjoyable.

One of the highlights was the focus on personal development. Chick-fil-A provides opportunities for growth and advancement, encouraging employees to take on more responsibilities. The management at my location was approachable and genuinely cared about our well-being, often recognizing hard work and dedication.

The work can be fast-paced, especially during peak hours, but the structured processes and teamwork help manage the workload effectively. Overall, working at Chick-fil-A taught me valuable skills in customer service, teamwork, and time management, making it a highly positive experience

If you want to work in a place that gives fake energy and fake vibes this is the place. Management preach and say they care for their employees they don’t, all they care about are themselves. Upper management are not transparent, and only care for their supervisors and treat team members like trash. They will exhaust you physically since they make you work understaff while it’s busy, and mentally with all the fake energy they give. The only good thing from that place were the team members, made a lot of friends from there. They were the reason why I stayed there for awhile. Their pay is decent but not worth it with how they treat you. With that being said the cons just outweigh the pros in this place, incompetent management is the main problem there. You can find somewhere better. 

Working at Chick-fil-A was okay. The job wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t amazing. My coworkers were decent, and the managers were generally fair, though sometimes things felt strict or repetitive. The shifts could get busy, which made the time go by faster, but it also got stressful at moments, especially during peak hours. The training helped me understand the tasks, but a lot of it felt like following a routine without much room for creativity. I learned some useful skills, like handling customers and working under pressure, but the work itself was mostly straightforward and predictable. The environment was clean and organized, which made it easier to do the job, but it didn’t feel exciting or especially rewarding every day. Overall, working there was okay—sufficient for gaining experience and money, but not something I would call fun or inspiring.

Working at a restaurant teaches you so many life skills. I learned how to be dependable by being consistently on time even though I didn't have a car. You can tell your managers and team leaders truly care about you. Dealing with customers gives you experience for other jobs in the future. It's a fast paced environment so you learn effective efficiency and communication skills. I truly miss working there because of the close relationships I had with my coworkers. They're like my family. The hardest part about the job would probably be the learning curve if you don't have previous work experience, but once you understand the IPOS system and basic customer service it's smooth sailing from there.
