They have a great entry on interview, managament hiring are not necessarily hiring you to work with them or on their team or in their area..inconsistent from the entry the crew lead that you will be working with does not build a rappore with you..inorder to get rid of you at first chance.

Hours of work are not scheduled..they are randomly sent via txt at any hour..left at the discretion of the crew lead...5am an hour before work..rain day potential- other companies such as roofers will look at different satellite imaging and schedule accordingly the day before...txt at 2am..txt at 4am...

They have no training on how to use their equipment..so you had better know how to use all equipment available in the province of ontario or they will subject you to a meeting with the owner for a 30 min sermon filled with humiliation, belittling inclusive of wage reduction and fiduciary threat of compensation and your job..which by the way is noted in bill 158 of the labour laws...bullying in the work place is illegal.

Persons with disabilities are not considered nor do they have that as an obligation on the company's core. Which is also against the Human Rights Commission of Canada...

All established companies in Ontario have at most a minimal requirement for Human Resource ethics...this group from Vaughan has flown under the radar and continues run on an archaic, draconian and old world view on how to interact with their staff. Discrimination is no longer acceptable!!

Should you or you family member ever decide this is where they want to work..send them this message and have them for warnd on the reality of what this company has to offer.

I am a concerned vaughan citizen, for our youth intending to stand on their own, husbands and wives in the hands of these kinds of employers.

I find a lot of purpose working for Clintar. This job has taught me so many things that I have not had the chance to obtain outside of the workforce. By no means is this job easy, it takes a lot of mental strength, perseverance and tolerance; but at the end of the day I feel like I've accomplished something and have more to look forward to. The management has really stepped up their organization skills, and any issues I have that need to be resolved are sought out almost immediately. Due to the high roll-over rate I can't say that you'll have amazing workplace relationships right off the bat, but if you stick with the company you'll quickly earn your place and gain the respect of your peers. A full time job here means work during all seasons, the hours in the winter can be tricky, it's labour-intensive and unpredictable, but Clintar makes sure you always have money in your pocket. The spring-fall season is where it really kicks off and you can guarantee stable work hours, great pay and fulfillment. If you're looking for a job where you can gain life experience, knowledge all whilst having fun, Clintar is a good foot into the door. 

I work for clintar doing snow removal.  Management is constantly micromanaging their employees.  Management doesnt know how to let go of the reins. Constantly asking how much longer to complete the jobs.  I understand when there is a big snowfall, but on the days that we have time to complete the jobs they are constantly pushing us to move faster.   Management also doesnt like when we stop to take a coffee break or a lunch break!

Overall good experience working there.  Once you get beyond the first year, management doesnt check up on you as often, providing you are a good employee.

More training is required for the new employees.  Job expectations should be drilled into the new employees as the new employees have been leaving the job sites half done!

I enjoyed working with Clintar as I enjoy working outdoors. My husband and I both worked for Clintar for 5 years, he was a Mow crew lead and I was a team member. We were given an area to maintain, a typical day started with loading your truck and trailer with tools, mowers, whippers, gas and etc. You are given a weekly list to maintain. Sometimes different crews teamed up for larger areas or if an area was falling behind. I enjoyed the diverse group of people we worked with, they are an equal opportunity employer. (Which was appreciated)The hardest part of the job was that no matter how much you got done, they expected more. It’s a thankless job.  Overall it is a great place to work, if you enjoy being outdoors and take pride in the job you do.

I quit the job as a crew member a couple of weeks ago. THIS IS A WARNING TO YOU. This company is horrifically managed and the environment is horrible. 

The management is lazy and often disorganized. The crew leads are always very uptight. The majority of the workforce is clueless high school students and the employees consistently made passive aggressive comments to me as I was quite a bit older than 18/19 years old. Once I quit I followed up to be payed for the remainder of my salary for the hours I worked and I still have not been paid. 

An employee locked a co-worker in a truck coffin from the outside, leaving her in there for quite some time and was NOT fired. This company has favorites.

If you want to enjoy your job do not apply here, save the effort. 

Clintar is an excellent company.
As a snowplow operator during the winter season, I felt great working there. The tractors were brand new, with 0 hours of use. They hire you if you can demonstrate you know how to operate the machine, and they also train you on your assigned sites and routes. Once you gain some experience, they may send you to new locations as needed.

The maintenance staff is outstanding—they do an excellent job when the tractor or the plow breaks down.

The only downside of this job is that it depends on snowfall, which is logical, but it means you can’t 100% count on a big paycheck at the end of the month since it’s an on-call job.

Everyone, from the yard team to the people on-site, is respectful, responsible, and hardworking.



They were alright to work for. My co-workers were all hard workers and easy to work with however in addition to working long hours such as 16 to 24 hours without relief made the job exhausting and caused in addition to no minimum compensation between snowfalls made working and trying to pay bills quite difficult. Many other snow removal companies offer their workers a standard wage between snowfalls to help with finances and keep loyalty. Clintar is a Canada wide company. Its my person opinion that they look into updating their ethical business practices in an effort to remain a top competitor in the snow removal industry.

Decent place for experience but you're over working your self for the pay. Let's just say I broke labour laws here. I had 3 shifts in one week that went 15 14 and 16 hours with 2-4 hours in between each. Summer is easier, starts with 10-12 hour shifts 6 days a week and switches to 5 days a week. Over all they gave me more experience than I knew I was ready for and it went great. For the most part the people that work there are easy to get along with too but everyone loves me, I dont like taking breaks because I feel tired after and I'm a people person so I'm a bit bias. I would always line trim for my crew so they had as much chance to get experience like I did.

I enjoyed working at Clintar. The staff were friendly and helpful. We got a lot of work done and felt a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. 
Management were great to deal with and very supportive. 
The culture was all about being a professional and getting a good quality job done. We took pride in our work. 
Some days were long but we get paid by the hour so it was worth it come pay day! 
I had lots of customers come out and say thanks and many were very appreciative of the work and that always makes you feel good! 

Had to Work Long hours and pay attention to detail, hardest part wasn't operating heavy equipment or the long hours, it was not know if you were working the nest day or not, relying on the weather to make an income or not, but i enjoyed operating heavy equipment always have and always will. Wasn't much for workplace culture since i was in a tractor or a loader by myself all night with a radio to listen to, management was shotty at best they didn't believe in maintenance of there equipment.
