Conair  use to be a great place to work. However it is micro managed by a a very 
Incompetent leadership team. That cares more about the bottom line then its employees. New hires generally ditch and run after a few weeks. They literally have 0 staff left and have made little effort to replace. Yet expect you to “burn the midnight” oil to get things done. Terrible culture. They have more directors and VPs then actual staff. Main departments like logistics and creative only 1 max two people for a company this big it’s run like a mom and pop business. There is no HR so these so called hire ups do what they want and treat people like garbage, if you talk or socialize you must not be busy and you get more work or told to stop talking with coworkers. You get vacation days but have to give your first born to get it approved. After COVID. We got our pay cut no help with home office set up not even a thank you happy holidays nothing. But we were told it was the best year on the books. Things will never change unless top management are all fired. 

I would start by continuing working on projects I had been working on previously (Returns, and Short Shipments), check email to see if relevant information was sent. I learned a tremendous amount of skills related to working in an accounting environment. Management was very supportive of giving younger employees a start to their careers. The workplace culture was great, everybody was friendly and wanted you to succeed, and you also wished for everybody else to succeed. The hardest part of the job was trying to learn the SAP software. It was fairly complicated, and was very indepth. The most enjoyable part of the job was learning how each of the activities you performed worked in conjunction with other aspects of the company.

I was always kept busy during my time at Conair and was lucky enough to work around people who were friendly.

I learned a lot and definitely increased my communications skills while working there.  

A lot of projects were last minute and it was frustrating sometimes to try and finish a project the best way I could - knowing I could do better if the turnoround was a bit longer.

However it was very enjoyable overall and satisfying knowing that what I was doing was helping the company accomplish their goals.

I have had great experiences with Conair Consumer Products ULC. 
It's important to keep in mind that your attitude and outlook on the job play a key role in your growth. 
Every workplace will have its pros and cons about work load, management, culture, etc., but if you can keep an open mind, stay curious, learn all you can, work towards creating change for the better, you will be OK. Don't let things define you, be the change you want and hope for in a company. 

Very unorganized company with inexperienced top management. Heavy workloads mean you are working over an 8 hour day and are not recognized for your hard work.  
Hard to stay focused and follow procedures since procedure change every day without communication. 
Upper Management does not understand certain areas of business, which makes it difficult to grow certain divisions.

They want the shirt off your back but wont pay you for it. The most toxic work environment I have ever seen. They run on temp labour and dangle the full time carrot in your face but it will never come. Management is worse than you can imagine. Bullying, intimidation and fear of losing your job is what you can expect. 
Ask anyone that has been able to make it for more than a couple of years. 

Unfortunately I do not have a good review. Micro management at it's worst. Management worried more about less important issues than those that would increase work results. Staff were never given notice of improvements or acknowledgment of accomplishments in which benefited the company.

The culture is very toxic and they do not have respeect for others. Usually will not help others and would not train new staff. People often looked bored at work and would not complete their tasks or "dump" work on others last minute and exoect results right away. 

Worked closely with National Account Managers just like working with family members.  Worked together closely to solve any issues, make our work environment friendly and comfortable.

Money is worth more than its employees. Greed is the culture there. There is no training for any of the jobs and 90% of the staff are temps who are treated poorly.
