I spent 14 years of my life working and supporting all areas of information technologies for 7 schools in London,Sarnia and Windsor.
Installation of computers and their connection to the network and a multitude of other tasks on maintaining, securing, planning and supporting all various equipments pertaining and falling under the I.T. department responsibilities.
I got a lot of satisfaction for helping on site staffs and resolving computer and networking issues.
The pay was excellent but the management of the team in our department was very poor.
The Director managing us had no experience and I would say no qualification for managing people and this resulted in creating a lot of problems.
The working conditions became worse in the last 3 years as they moved my office in the basement of a school and there was no walls for privacy as I had to share a very little space with other colleagues and it became very difficult to focus properly on the job.

This is why the working environment for me is very important.
I am looking for a place where all members of the team works together toward the same goal. I can also works under very little supervision and I would say that this is where I excel the most.

Here is what I can say about this worse place to work for:
1-racism at a top levels, basically from Quebec people who took all the management position and you know what !!! we are in Ontario and we have plenty of French speakers.
2-if you look to the management how much paid you will see that the Ontario government should audit this school board. Somebody got 59% salary rise and others got 0.1%.
3-Government money flows to the School board but not used at all, you will see the difference between English school boards and this one.
4-Hiring process is the worse, I am not saying all the HR personals are not good, there are decent people who work with their heart but basically are under sort of mafia management.
5-Managers do whatever they want, others are always put under pressure.
6-Hypocrites under lines and on top of the lines.
7-I wish one day a serious action will be help by the top officials in order to correct the organigramme of this school bord.
8-Unions instead for them to listen to their members, I definitely believe they are all of them in the side of the board.....that’s my opinion 

You need a very good understanding of french (native speakers preferred). Working with children requires a lot of energy but time flies. My time on break gets mostly taken up preparing for the next class of the day (when you take a long term contract). Short term substitute is much simpler with lesson plans already made for you. Would absolutely recommend. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Its a family and you learn too much skills

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No stress at all. Its relaxing and that's why everybody looks calm and happy

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Culture francophone  and great work environment. Excellent place to work

Was paid well with good benefits. Work culture varies, depending on the school. Some have amazing principals but cliquey coworkers, some have great coworkers and micromanager principals, and some are great all around. If you start as a supply teacher you can get a good feel for the schools.

It's a very relaxed job once you get the hang of it. You're by yourself at night. Which means no boss to tell you what to do. I've worked there for 9 years.

I was welcomed into the schools by everyone with open arms and encouragement to get my teaching certification. I learned many things that helped me in my studies to becoming a teacher. The most useful of which was classroom management skills.

Good work/life balance, way more than decent salary.
This is a temporary job (On call ) so no opportunities for career  advancement.

Overall good experience with lot of pros.

I had a great experience working as a French tutor, helping students improve their speaking, writing, and comprehension skills. It was rewarding to see their confidence grow over time.

Hmmm, it is a job that has benefits, helps with paying the bills, you meet all kinds of different people, and I am satisfied.

It is job that gets you moving physically that is.
