DAY CAMP

I would arrive to be on time at 9:00 every day we would take care of the children that were enlisted in the program with fun games and activity. It was a fun and enjoyable environment with a welcoming group of co-workers. The hardest part of the job was becoming creative when consistently thinking of games to play to engage the children for the entire day. Every day was a new experience and it was always fruitful teaching children new skills and comradeship skills.

A day at camp can be overwhelming for those who aren't familiar with the camp culture. The staff is friendly and fun. Sometimes its hard to believe you get paid to do things you thoroughly enjoy. Being a part of camp was a great experience and I learned a lot. I was able to become a leader and take on responsibility in areas where I wouldn't be given the opportunity otherwise.

On a typical day at work I assisted with the planning, implementation and evaluation of the Summer Day Camp Program. 
I learned how to be a positive role model to children throughout the Day Camp .I created and facilitated safe and enjoyable activities for the kids which was very enjoyable.

My manager was very manipulative and self serving and there was a lot of competition, favouritism and judgement from coworkers and managers. I enjoyed the majority of my time there but upon reflecting I would not return.

Working at a day camp is great if you love kids. It’s a comforting, comfortable, loving environment. I learned a lot of useful skills working at camp.

The teamwork is really great that make the job fun and easy. The bosses are very understanding and trustworthy to the employees capabilities to solve and work on the task given.

Working with special needs children is rewarding and sometimes difficult, but getting to be a part of a child's life is everything. Also working with other kids and helping out day camp officials was worthwhile.

Summer camp is a unique environment to work, providing a very fun and rewarding place to work and meeting really lovely children and making their time their as memorable as possible.

i enjoyed volunteering there and getting to help put smiles on the children that attended the camp.
