What is the best part of working at the company?
Caring for the children. Planning, teaching, and organizing activities for the children. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working from 7am to 6pm or later daily. Then still have to plan/ prepare for the next day. Plus, weekends duties. It's too time consuming.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The children are playful and happy. The environment is safe and well organized. It's inclusive, all the children are treated equally. 
The parent are happy with the way I care for their children and guide their learning.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day I am up before 7am preparing breakfast and lunch. Children start coming in from 5mins before 7am. Now I will spend my day multitasking. Supervising, guiding behaviour, managing time I take to complete tasks, excicuting the planned activities for the day and solve or pause to do any issues that may arise at any time. Eg. Change diapers or model appropriate behavior.  Plan includes: breakfast,  circle time, art time, movement and dance, snack, outside, lunch, nape, free play, snack, diaper changing and clean up time. At the end of the day I will send a report to each parent with  short vedios or pictures.

First things first, make sure no one was hungry. then we would have potty break and get our things on to head outside for the morning. home for a healthy lunch and some games or stories. Then the kids would nap. Afterwards we would have snacks and crafts before being picked up.
I learned that all kids are special and need different things at different times. Managing them during the day and my own family in the evenings was the most rewarding. I enjoyed the company of the parents and still talk to most  of them today. it was a job that gave me purpose and enjoyment daily.

Volunteering at the dayhome taught me different things like patience and to become more independant. A typical day there was pretty simple, i would prepare breakfast and afterwards the kids would play until lunch and i would clean up after lunch the younger kids would nap and the others would have time to relax and watch tv. Once everyone was awake from their nap we would all go outside until parents came.

very positive learning environment or not only employees but as well as the children attending the day home. There are always many fun activities planned out to look forward to each and every day.

I learned a lot about milti-tasking and problem solving. Sometimes the kids would get really out of hand which was difficult to manage, but I really love children, and I work well with them.

overall a fantastic learning experience. learned a great amount of patience, and communication skills. Everyday presented new challenges that required me to adapt to each childs individual needs.
