Worked at DCL Millway, Bradwick, and Cidermill buildings for 9 years total, horrible management, very bad environment with too much heat and metal dust flying through the air.  No ventilation and a huge health hazard, sometimes when you blow your nose it's black and sometimes bloody from the metal dust.  They try to hire desperate immigrants to exploit them for cheap labour.  Welders are barely paid what they are supposed too, the management has absolutely no idea what they are doing in production.  Management does not appreciate any work you do no matter how hard you work, they will try to push you to do more overtime all the time, it feels like slave labour. 
 The heat in the Millway building is so bad in the summers that you will feel like you will pass out every day.  The company is too greedy and cheap to care for their workers... This is not a stable job, they like to lay off people on mass right before Christmas and the company regularly lays off people to find cheaper labour.  
Engineering is a disaster as well, I do not recommend buying products from this company, the number of engineering mistakes we catch in the blueprints while assembling units is unbelievable.  Some engineers are awesome some are rude douchbags. 
Do not work here please, for the sake of your health and your life. I should have left years ago... my prayers and hopes to the poor souls still working in DCL.
This company is constantly looking for welders for an extremely low wage, if your a welder looking for a job here, turn away because it's not worth it.

Go to work at 9am, check emails, work on tasks that were assigned to you, meet with colleagues, hold meetings, contact suppliers, do design work and leave at 5pm. I've learned a lot from all the co-workers and they have shown me and provided me with countless experiences. They are friendly and easy to work with. I believe management tries and bring in employees that fit the company environment. The hardest part of the job is keeping track of the path on a project as top management may sometimes have differing opinions. The most enjoyable part of the job is the people you get to work with.

Will let u go to save a dollar. No matter how long or hard u work specially if your a welder. Dont care about ability or experience. Worked there three years with all the promises of a stable job. Then right before xmas handed me a letter and sent me home. Worst welder fitter job i have ever had in over 15 years of experience. Shops are not up to standard and leaders are not experienced. Expect to be told how to do your job by someone whos never welded before.

I am currently working at DCL Inc. in Vaughan.  It is a FANTASTIC place to work for.  Management is really supportive; they give you space to implement changes in the company.  Everyone is friendly - a relaxed environment.   I would recommend working for DCL Inc.

i learned how to use a plow and a drill  little bit of landscaping setting up fiber optic cables for installers

making sure the drill lined up exactly where we needed it to be
once we have finished and everything looks great

Micromanagement, unqualified manager

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Worked only one time so cannot generalize.

Weld supervisor should go flip burgers with that level of competence. Expected to be at work every single day, no personal life or family considerations. Trash place. Only go here if you are single, hard working and want to learn how to weld. Great starter place

Issue  purchased orders, worked orders, monitoring and control  inventory and supervise receivers, coordinate monthly, mid of month inventory and end of year inventory as well, make a end of month and end of year  inventory report as well. Maintain vendor and end of month inventory performances by KPI.

A good place to work as long as you’re working hard or doing your job well no eye on your every day job to see what you’re doing. Management is fair to everyone giving a chance their employees to improve and learn more to be successful in life.
