DEL EQUIPMENT

My time at DEL was short lived. I moved my life down to Vancouver with the promise that I'd have steady work and a secure job. I was let go a couple days before my probation was over. Management let me go at lunch time saying "it wasnt working out". I'm a young man who's just beginning the trade and just needed a little guidance. There was never any communication in the shop and any thing I had a question about was dismissed. Lunches were spent in your vehicle and the only communication was "hello" in the morning and "goodbye" at 3:30. The work wasn't the hardest but nobody took the time to teach me.

nothing good to say, branch manager was a waste of skin, parts manager was no better, do not have to worry about interviews as it is now bankrupt. Company policies were not followed, safety was a joke, you were expected to fab up stuff with basically nothing to work with,. was very challenging and stressful.

The place itself was good to work at, but the main management was horrible. 
A typical day was getting parts for the mechanics and sending out or receiving parts.
I learned how to order in parts and retrieve parts for the mechanics.
Hardest part was dealing with being caught between the fueding with the shop and the management.
Most enjoyable part was helping out the mechanics.

Typically I sand a truck in the morning and paint it in the afternoon, unless it's a very large truck, then it gets into the second day. I get to learn some wiring and system installation on plow trucks. Get to do some fab work, and some equipment repair work. Hardest part of the job is keeping up to blown schedules due to poor organising higher up. Best part of the job is the respect and appreciation I get for doing a good job.

Stay away from this company if you care about your career. The turnover rate for employees is high for a reason.
No employee loyalty they will lay you off whenever even during the slightest downturn.
The have a small customer base because they have a reputation of putting out poor work. 

Also the company is 8 million in debt

very disorganized ,no respect for workers from ceo,
poor salary , poor work environment , very poor shop lead hand . 
stressful and heavy work ,very poor relationship between head office Toronto and branches

-Management was good 
-The co-workers where good to work with.
-The hardest part was to get ready in the mornings 
-The most enjoyable part of the job was on Friday when jot to go home .

Great people with lots of fabrication and aluminum welding. Worst thing about the shop is the old building and there is no overhead cranes. All lifts have to be done with forklift and straps, or hand crank body lifters.

Dedicate a team of 10 welders for the day jobs and required production. Learned people management dealing with different ethnic background and most enjoyable position

Good place to work, great group of employees and management was always good to work with. A bit more of a relaxed atmosphere made work hours go by fast without someone breathing down your neck all the time.
