Epitome of a toxic work environment. Incompetent, unprofessional management with zero corporate experience, but they stomp around like “little Gods”. Greedy and disconnected owners. A generally hostile front line work force, burdened with maintaining high productivity for below industry wages and poor benefits. Never enough staff, people quit and aren’t replaced. Because why spend money on payroll when you can just squeeze current employees harder and turn a bigger profit?  Don’t expect regular raises, (or any) if the company can get away with it. They have no real investment in the employees. Everyone is miserable from top to bottom and the entire company is a joke. Except it’s not funny if you have to actually work there. Take your skills and resume elsewhere. You’re welcome. 

Too much downtime and the supervisor constantly bothers employees. Taking initiatives usually results in being told we shouldn't have. Little flexibility in how we work, it's "this way and this way only". No respect for previous experience, doesn't matter if employees have more experience than the supervisor, they'll still be treated like newbies. Meanwhile the higher-ups are out of touch because they don't know how businesses work in Quebec. The workplace already lost the entirety of their staff once because the place isn't making enough profits. Don't waste your time here, this place is a joke.

It was a good job for introducing me to the workforce in what is demanded by the employer and customer. Although it became increasingly clear over time that I was not going to be hired and employed by the company itself. 
The warehouse was understaffed the majority of the time, which even then was mired by poor communication between conworker. Which combined with the number of customer orders coming through, lead to orders being delayed and mixups.

Even though only worked for a year only, I really enjoyed working in there. Managerial staff and co-workers were at the drop of the hat to provide help. I will definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to continue their career in customs environment. Everybody help each other to accelerate the process for clearance goods promptly and efficiently.

before the holiday, it tried to book a load. Was told to send carrier application. Reference check column, I gave a reference where I worked the past year. 1 year reference check, they said not sufficient. Only 1 month old company and 1 truck only and your website says that you are a broker, so we can not give you Never take a load from these people. there are way better loads out there. They treat service providers very poorly, often looking for reason to say no.

At Delmar, I manage multiple accounts, ensuring they are happy with current services and at the same time, try to promote other services that clients may not be using i.e customs, warehousing, ground transportation, and international transportation.  Also identify any issues or problems and try to find an efficient solution in the supply chain process for clients.

It is a good company to start if you don't have work experience and learn basic foundation. Management team in Richmond branch is so unprofessional in a way that not willing to listen to staff words and get frustrated very quickly. it's been seen many times that manager was screaming on staff in office in front of others which was so embarrassing and very uncomfortable.

Having worked at Delmar for a number of years, I feel that it has challenged me and helped shape me in my role.  I am thankful for my time at Delmar, while being optimistic about finding another position that will utilize my skills and develop me in my field.

They will always have work for havens but as for the freight department it varies, and they lost some of the air freight contracts.  The environment was pretty relaxed, it wasn't much of a stressful job, the drivers are friendly and competent and the dispatcher is pretty on the ball with her timing and routing

I worked 7.5 hours per day. I enjoyed interacting with clients. Fair management. I enjoyed working with my co-workers. The hardest part of the job is when the system goes down during peak time. The most enjoyable part of my job is when I finished my workload for the day.
