Work pace depends on the season (summer is faster paced, winter is slower), a typical day would lead to prepping food and working the line and making food. Or prepping food for the banquets kitchen until a banquet event has started. The enviroment and people make the job hard to dislike. The work is not hard but it is expected to be precise. Consistency and quality matter in a kitchen. Do your job well and all is well, do your job below the standard and management will do whatever they can to help get your quality better. Termination of contract is never the “go to” solution 

It's a job that keeps you very busy and constantly moving. You spend a lot of time alone and working in teams, depending on the event and I met a lot of great people working there, both coworkers and guests. Pay range is great because banquets earns a lot in tips, unfortunately schedule is based on seniority so employees who have been with the company the longest always get first choice of scheduled shifts, hours, and vacation time.

I enjoy cleaning so this is a great job for me. Management is great and easy to communicate with. Hours are typically 8-4:30 and shifts are scheduled every day of the week. No guarantee of hours at this time of year as tourist season has completely wound down, but I am low on the seniority pole so I have to just work my way up. Pay is really quite decent!  Training is very thorough and this company really cares about it's employees.

Hotel has so much potential, but struggles to maintain a core team capable of ensuring each season is successful. This is compounded by an executive leadership team that makes snap decisions with no consultation with the relevant departments, unreasonable timelines, and quick to throw blame for these poor decisions should they not work out.

This is the most positive working environment I have ever worked in. Despite the fact that there are some 400-plus employees, everyone seems to be upbeat and friendly, smiling at each other in the hallways. Must be the great starting wage and benefits! Human resources department is awesome!

Some great people to work with, some good management, but a lot of bad management. Many staff were overpromised and underdelivered, and training/support systems were incredibly unsatisfactory. The management staff shifting could improve the quality of work immensely, but in the service industry it is a lot to ask for.

The pay is just OK.  It is the hospitality industry so that is to be expected.  The benefits are fantastic and co-workers, culture is the best.  There are politics with regards to advancement.

I enjoyed my time at the Delta and would return in a heart beat.  The people are friendly, the job was fulfilling and fun, and my crew was always welcoming in the mornings.

Beautiful resort right on the lake shore. Colleagues and managers were great to work with. Room for growth as it just became a Marriott. Kelowna is beautiful

I'm still new but getting the hang of things! Amazing location. I recommend for all tourists to come visit! Great staff, very informative. Everyone is willing to offer a helping hand.
