A typical day at DH Manufacturing is very stress full due to the fact that it is a fast paced job. I am responsible for unloading and loading trucks as well as feeding to mill with wood. Everyday is different and you have to know how to adapt to any given situation. The  hardest part of the job is not knowing how your day will turn out to be. Fast or slow pace both have their difficulties. The most enjoyable part of my job is being outside and working in a fast paced enviroment. I thrive in that work setting.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Not a thing it sucked bad bad management never worked in a place like that in my life that didn't care about their employees

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with management they are very hard to deal with

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
That's not how very dangerous not much for supervision if at all any

Always scared you never know what management is about to do

This job isn't good for anyone

The pay ..the hours... how hard you have to work and make nothing at all...

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Isn't at all..the owners are not good at all.. and the lead hands,supervisor are all on drugs or drunk...

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very highly stressful... you are over worked and alot of people have a very very bad attitude...

I really loved the people there, but they were the only thing that made that place worth it. 
You could work as hard as you could and often still was not good enough, most had to push to get the raises they were promised at certain periods they were they for... small raises though. 

You’ll make enough to get the bills paid, but don’t expect to move up much or to make much on piece bonus.

12 hour days, constantly throwing lumber around, i learned to grade lumber, i learned to use the finger jointer on lumber i leanred good cleaning skills.  still not th best with grammer and or talking but have my grade 12, willing to learn!

This place was great to work at, but you have to be somewhat quick and have tolerance for other people who may or may not be having a bad day. The only bad thing I have to say is the pay could be a little better, 15 an hour is bs for what you have people doing in there, there's bonuses and stuff but it ls almost not worth it. I would just recommend a higher wage like 17 18 an hour but just my opinion 

this company is great when it comes to working with others and it is family orientated, the only flaws that they really had were the work conditions and the equipment itself other then that it was a great place to work. While I was working there I was a sawyer, grader, plainer, and stacker. This was all at a wood mill back in BC

hard work come great responsibility. learning all kinds of production on the matter of wood. recognizing wood and grading wood. training of all sorts of manufacturing other then finger jointing wood. assertive and quick pace. build muscle and review quota.    

go to work. -grading- pick up wood look at wood flip wood look at other side of wood put wood back down on conveyor rinse and repeat for hours on end. -Stacking- pick up wood and stack neatly on pallet very quickly, very phisically demanding.

working at dh was a wonderful place to learn and grow into the guy I am now being able to use my capability's to change the mill and run it. I was able to work my way up from a labourer  all the way up into maintenance
