Typical day at work will be opening , sorting and filing emails electronically, answering emails as required and forwarding same to concerned lawyer if necessary.  Assisting two partners in all aspects of office administration.  Although my time with them is short, I think this is a great company to work for. Good natured employees, friendly atmosphere.

Always Short Staffed and Spread You Thin To Work For Different Departments. Lawyers and Clerks Always Right So Staff Are Always Wrong. Staff Stab Each Other In The Back and Gossip Galore in Their Cliques. HR Controled By Layers So Staff Have NO Say.

HR is proactive and friendly. DLA Piper has a good mentorship to train people who finish the LAA program to access an entry-level position. HR is willing to help the practicum students achieve career goals. The firm has a competitive salary and good benefits.

Extremely high turnover. They don't care at all about suppport staff mental health. Most lawyers are unreasonable and difficult to work with. Very much a political place and it's all "who you know" here whether you will keep your job or not. 

Mostly great people to work with, but technical and other support are lacking  - resources have shrunk and it takes much longer to accomplish things and often things are not working.

I loved working at DLA and will miss everyone. Very friendly environment, small team, peoole work closely with each other. Makes for great work ethic.

Excellent work experience, but students are underpaid in comparison to firms of similar size. Mentorship is limited, and the culture is clique-y.     

Good place to work at. Team members are friendly and easy to talk to. Salary is below average. Benefits are average. Covid did not impact the company much.

90% of the employees and lawyers are down to earth and kind. I really enjoyed working at this firm. We were like a family. I have fond memories of working here.
