Drexel has a very clear objective - grow. This might sound great for potential employees, but the reality is that they are too aggressive in their growth strategy. They are always bringing in new customers and business when the team can barely keep up with the current workload. Employees are expected to get all work done regardless of being understaffed and overworked due to a constantly increasing workload.

Issues are brought up to management as soon as they're spotted, but management refuses to listen to anyone until it's critical and the customers are upset. The lack of proactive planning is a serious problem at the company and will result in the loss of customers in the future if nothing is changed.

Wages are low and turnover is high. New hires are brought in for more than current employees make. The group benefits are terrible. There aren't even any perks like an annual boot allowance. I've seen coworkers with boots that are falling apart because they can't afford to replace them. HR/management seems out of touch with the current state of the labour market. There's no reason for employees to stay here, so they leave for more money.

Overall, Drexel is an undesirable place to work. 

Drexel is a great place to work. In terms on culture and environment, I don’t know if I have worked anywhere better. The people are great and work really well together from the warehouse to the office.  When it is really busy, everyone rolls up their sleeves and gets to work in the warehouse including office staff, managers, and owners.  There is so much opportunity to learn new skills and take on new challenges and responsibilities if you want to.  
Managers, supervisors and team leaders seem to genuinely care about their staff.  All are super friendly and have an open door for any issues or concerns.
There aren’t many issues, but when there are, management usually deals with them right away.  I don’t think I have ever seen management say no to any reasonable request for help, equipment, supplies, or vacation.
The hours and location are fantastic, the pay is decent, and definitely goes up quickly if you work hard and get involved.  The benefits are a nice perk as well.  If you want overtime, it is available but is rarely mandated. Supervisors are super flexible with time off for appointments and child care etc.
I would recommend Drexel to anyone who wants to grow their career and have some fun while you are at it.

I started with Drexel two years ago and have had the opportunity to learn and grow as the company has. The company is constantly growing and being a huge supporter of promoting from within, it allows staff to grow and expand their knowledge by moving into different job roles. Personally, I expressed my desire to work in a different department and learn something new and they made it happen! 

What I love most about Drexel is the family like atmosphere. Everyone is great to work with including management. The warehouse supervisor is a great sounding board and will listen to frustrations and help figure out a way to resolve any issue that arises. 

Drexel is a very busy company but if you can work hard and consistently you won't have any issues. I love that I feel valued and respected here which is something I find is hard to come by now. 

I've worked here just over a year, I started driving forklift just about 2 months ago. We are now under new management and at a bigger more central location. The staff here are all very friendly and helpful. If someone is behind in their workload everyone helps out to get the job finished. Breaks are taken at the same time every day and the shift also never changes, good ole 9-5. Management delegates fairly between employees. Working here requires good time management and attention to detail. This is a young company with opportunities for growth and career advancement. All in all, I would recommend Drexel to anyone looking for permanent employment.

This company is growing quickly.  There is a lot of new business popping up all the time.  At least monthly there is an exciting new project.

This means lots of opportunity to learn new things and be a part of the growth.  Pretty much every single Team leader, Supervisor and Manager has started at entry level jobs and moved up into elevated positions within the past year.  

The downside to the growth is that there are a lot of new people that haven't bought into the company yet.  Some people can't handle the expectations and can be negative.

Ownership and management team is great - family run and generous, the company seems to be building a very healthy, competent team.  It is very nice being part of a team where you are appreciated and given opportunity based on work quality rather than years of experience.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything from most Managers having favorites to certain rules apply to some employees and other rules for other employees
One "Supervisor" if he does not like you will argue and talk down to you berate you infront of everyone and start arguing all the time and try to make you feel incompetent about your work
He is a useless waste of skin for management

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It's not the best
Cliques are all over in every warehouse
Favoritism is present

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Getting in arguments with a supervisor who tried to make me quit for months 
Build orders argue more get belittled
One Manager tried to stop it
Yelling matches and laziness all over

As a 3PL warehouse, the company handles complex logistics with efficiency and precision. There is a focus on continuous improvement to ensure we stay ahead in a competitive market.

The comprehensive benefits package is okay and opportunities for professional development are also significant. Overall, Drexel Industries is an excellent place to work for those who can handle pressure, can contribute to growth, are creative and looking to build a rewarding career in logistics and supply chain management.

Disorganized warehouse . Pallets on top of pallets leaning over . Management only cares about 1 thing and that’s themselves . Understaffed for the job and they don’t listen . Improper  training . If u want to work your tail off and get treated like garbage work for it work for Drexel . A lot of inside drama and politics with no room for growth . Coworkers can take 2 hour breaks or show up for work and sit around and get paid for it with out getting penalized . While you are stuck covering that persons job duties . 

Typical day at work is stressful. What I've learned is favoritism. And politics there make a big difference if you want to excel. Hardest part of job, is not going into work every day if that's the day you're going to get fired. Enjoyable part is free coffee in lunch room. Sometimes buys us lunch.  If you can find a different job, take it. Only work here as a last desperate resort. Once you work here. You can never leave.  Pay is also bad. So is bonus and benefits.

On my very first day starting, I was told” We don’t take breaks here”. If you were a smoker, however, you can take breaks.
The workload is very heavy, and navigating their computer systems is very challenging.
This company expects you to do the work of three people, and not get paid properly for it.
Work at Dexel was so stressful, by the end of the day, I was shaking.
The owner of the company, don’t get me started , He will fire you for the smallest reason.
