DYNA-MIG

Overall I learned a lot at dyna-mig but they knew how to screw you around! They trained me for many supervisor positions then after I was good and trained had me do it till I trained my replacement, not once but three times! At the time of leaving I was trained as a supervisor in four different areas, overall management sucked, it was their way or no way, being happy at the plant wasn’t a thing, you short on cash DONT worry they mandated every single Saturday and even started mandating Sunday’s too, plus they would let you come in earlier or stay late.. they don’t care how many hours a week you worked as long as they were happy. 
I also noticed they weren’t okay with women moving up in the company, they weren’t okay with young women especially moving up because they had the chance to get pregnant and go on leave which is something they didn’t want. They did a lot of shady stuff, a lot of the time if you got hurt at work and reported it they wouldn’t believe you got hurt there, and would fight with you for hours even if they seen it happen! 
People are great to work with as long as you get the right crew, don’t expect much from this place
They would also hire anyone and most of the time being people who didn’t speak a dime of English and would work for way cheaper then what everyone else made

in the welding department i worked with some great people over all but there were a lot of safety concerns that were never taken seriously and excuses were made. very poor ventilation and always understaffed so there were many shifts you were expected to operate several stations at once at a very fast pace and bullied into doing so even if you were doing the job of 3 people and often behind production as a result so you would get mandated to work Saturdays and sometimes they even tried to push for some sundays on occasion. extremely hot in the summer and very dirty. plenty of opportunity for over time. high turn over and very thankless. they will hire anyone there it seems even if you barely speak English which was a concern for me because too many employees were unaware of hazards from the language barrier. some positives were laundry service and a full cafeteria with fresh meals available. the only place i have ever worked that recognized anything after a 8 hour shift as over time even if you have not accumulated 40 hours already that week. 

Place is horrible to work at. Management DOES NOT follow labor laws and because of no Union, they get away with it. Any talk of Unions and they say they will shut the doors.
 Im glad i dont drive any vehicles they make, as i seen with my own two eyes, they dont care about quality - its all about the quantity, "gotta hit target". 
 The air quality is horrendous in there. You will be sick at LEAST once a month due to the company policy of "if you dont miss any time we will pay you a bonus". So contagious,sick people come into work because they want the "bonus" and proceed to spread germs and get the rest of the factory sick. I worked there for 7 years and was sick at least 5-6 times a year with a cold or flu. Since i stopped working there i havent been sick ONCE in over 3 years. 
 If you want a life outside of work,  then this def isnt the place for you. You will be mandated to work 6 days a week (mon-sat).
It's probably the WORST factory in Stratford to work at. If you want to work in a factory, dont think about going here. The pay might be nice but thats legit the ONLY thing.

While the pay is only so-so management will throw anybody under the bus to get their own bonuses as high as possible.  Associates are only a number to management and your mean nothing to them.  They are the only major employer in the city to refuse to open their cafeteria after covid and enforce such petty rules even down to where you can drink a coffee.   Several people have retired and they don't recognize any of them.  Shameful employer who has to resort to bringing in staff from far off as they have such a bad reputation in their own community.  Very scared of unions so they can bully you.  Think twice about working here.

Stay away rom this place! Management style is primitive to say the least with a Japanease lean to it's style (It's an honor to work for just above minimum wage).. You're told when you can have a break and when to return from breaks and between breaks it's flat out hard graft everywhere, everything is push, push, push. Most people are running to keep up, When they describe the pace as "Fast paced" it's an understatement. For $18.65 an hour I'd recommend trying some other place. If you like your weekends off to spend with friends or family, -forget it, overtime is mandatory.

Good place to learn different systems and applications. Management is very poor, do not appreciate education and outsiders. Like the old boys club. New model group is poorly ran, so anything new they set up isn’t set up correctly. Have little to no knowledge on many things. Quality of parts is always bad, because the sister company is who makes the stampings.



Working at Dyna-mig is a fun! I liked the environment. The management is very good and the work force is also hard working as well. I worked at Midnight shift personally from London to Stafford every night because i did nit have a vehicle at the time. I liked the way of interview, job training and even the way the paired new employees in their first 2 weeks of job in order to enable them get use to the robots in many stations or the assigned station. I use to work at RAV4; though worked in some other stations like Tessela, and GM.

Dyna-Mig is committed to excellence and leads in 5S implementation. Every job is clearly defined - responsibilities and expectation. There is no gray areas - work is siplefied and process is designated for every person from material handler, operator to QA and team leaders. Everyone is very friendly and eager to help new employee. From the start you will be advised that work is 6 days a week because facility is so divesified in number of its clients that is realy busy all the time.

Good place to work if you've got lots of energy & can handle manual labour.  Every job comes with the good & the bad. Take it 1 day at a time, show up on time do your 8 or 12 HR shift. Remember your job is to do as your told or asked to do. The option to learn new skills is given if you make it known you want to do so. Working at Dyna-Mig is hard work but It's a decent job with above decent pay and benefits for day 1.

I have learned a lot at DYNA-MIG. With over 8 years of experience, it lead to a comfortable work environment. The staff is great. It does get unbearably hot during the summer. The mandatory overtime is the biggest problem. Most Saturdays, you do not even know if you are working until the night before at 8pm. It makes it hard to plan your family life.
