There was a lot of favouritism in the department I worked for. I received little to no help from management when dealing with toxic co workers. Management is segregated from lower level employees. It’s hard to trust them to have your best interest in mind. Teams blame each other for errors, avoiding responsibility. Employees speak negatively of each other when they aren’t around. I can’t tell you how many times I was thrown under the bus. Advancement only comes to those who “play the game”, if you are related to or closely know someone in management. Overall it was a terrible environment but I gained a lot of work experience for the industry and it “toughened me up”. 

A standard day was coming into the office and getting a coffee and getting straight to email and messages. Getting your updates on the market and then moving on to the sales sheet to see the sales from the day before.

From there you had to manage your lists and get you contacts done for the day. 

The hardest part of the job is making sure you're and spreading yourself to thin and doing too many project but getting none of them done. Focus is key.

The most enjoyable part of the job was watching the sales come in from the hard work that you put into the job.

Montreal Office:

It's a great place to work but it's not for everyone. While working at Dynamic I learned a lot about the mutual fund industry and how gained a better understanding of how the funds are structured and being managed. Most of my Co-workers were great and pretty much shared a few common interest. Everyone's friendly and always ready to help you when needed. The managers are always open to hearing your comment on how the team can improve overall.

A regular 9-5 job in the financial district. The management is very understanding with their employees' work/life balance. They trust their employees know what they are doing. The co-workers are very helpful. The hardest part of the job is making third-party phone calls to acquire required information in processing requests and not getting that info.

Busy work environment, lots of work to do and a lot of information to take in if you are a processor. Though long hours are often needed (because of the busy RSP season), the culture and colleagues often make the grind worth it. 

I'm also a new grad and I've learned so much by working here.

It's a mutual fund company that was bought over by Scotia Bank a while ago. The work hours are they typical 7.5 and they pay overtime. Our department is busiest during RRSP,and that's when the work days are usually longer.

Was a good place to gain the industry experience as I have started my job at Dynamic without any financial industry experience. Colleagues were very helpful.

One of the most enjoyable workplace where employees have a freedom to express themselves. Management takes a lot of time in employee development. Awesome working environment
