Pros:
Amazing coworkers.
Lots of company events.
Management is very understanding.

Constantly improving.

Cons:
Lots of indecision.
minimal guidance for seasoned engineers.
Company stuck in its old ways.
Pay as an engineer is not great.

I've worked at Danby for 2 and a half years as a product engineer and while I did enjoy my time at Danby I feel that it is not a good environment for seasoned engineers. This is for one reasons: Danby is a white goods company so you don't have the opportunity to be involved with new product design. 

This may change however in the future, however as of right now if you aren't an engineer I'd say Danby is a wonderful place to work. If you are then I'd look for other options.

I worked at danby for a little under a year there reasoning to let me go was "i didnt fit in with them" this was just a bs excuse considering i was friendly with many people and they were all shocked for the resoning behind, you never knew what was going to happen one day to the next, in my time there many long-time employees were let go for reasons that made no sense, management is poor and are all unprofessional there is constant change there but not in a positive way. there are some good empolyees there and they did make sure to have fun things planned for their empolyees , HR really needs to learn confidentiality and that its part of their job !

Sadly, you will not have an impact & the only change will be useless HR showing you the door, regardless of your efforts & positive contribution.  No one there is passionate about their job AND as for the Danby family, they will throw you under a bus & not think twice. 

Lie #2 You will have the ability to work with great people who are passionate about our industry.

Lie #3 ...a great company culture where you're part of the Danby family...

Top management, particularly Supply Chain Dept., and Independents Canadian Sales Dept., are definitely the root of most issues.
The goal of maximizing shareholders' value cannot be achieved when critical activities are managed in the 80s style.
Those who have been doing it the same way for over two decades should be replaced. They will never make things better, they will always resist changes, and they will not accept improvement suggestions.
Other areas, like Logistics & Reverse Logistics, may also need improvements.

Working at danby requires a lot of patience and optimism. Clients are all in need of a person that can help them solve their appliance problem and sometimes they scream at us, but we must remain calm and face it with a smile and good advice to help them work it through.

This company's leadership appears to lack a cohesive vision, and its decision-makers often seem adrift, a sentiment expressed with due sensitivity. In a paradoxical twist, this company manages to maintain a healthy work-life balance amidst a sea of other workplace woes and a testimony to it is the employee turnover.

Stay away! There are better jobs out there. Upper management are clueless. This place has lost so many good people over the years due to the inept abilities of management. Definitely a "boys " club in the warehouse. You can be one of the best workers there but if ya dont fit in....your gone. CEO could care a less about the people who work there. 

You can work there for 20 years and still be a clerk. If you are global contractors you mean nothing to the company. No bonus, no increment. Salaries have been delayed for global contractors since they changed the management

Company has lost all direction the last 5 years. CEO uses company money to throw away at his silly and expensive innovative ideas that go no where except gather dust in the warehouse. Management is too busy agreeing with him to focus on the products that have been paying their bills the last 70 years. High turn over. Lazy managers that just deligate work down.

All managers are out to shine themselves instead of helping their team. Many people who don't do their jobs and coast through it. Other people who shine are put down by their managers so they don't look better than them. 
Little people work great together, but there is a great division between management and the little people who make things happen.
