One of the worst places I have worked, none of the staff are happy because of how the home is now ran, management have their favorites who they like to 'keep sweet' and constantly disregard other staff with inappropriate  negative comments, some of which are blatant lies; and somehow they wonder why people leave with immediate effect / or are absent until they've found a new job. The staff who are still working here pretend to be happy, for the sake of the residents, and to protect their income. Management put a great act on when head office show up from time to time. This particular care-home has a staff turnover like I've never seen, it is just like a factory in regard to turnover. Residents are also unhappy and not getting the proper care or scrutiny. What is the point of having a 'whistleblowing' policy, when nothing is done. If management aren't clamped down on here in due course, I'd be very skeptical about the future of this care home.

If your face fits then your a good match in here if not you've had it. Care staff are treat like skivvys by unit managers and seniors alike. If your well in with senior members of staff then your ok. You don't get any help from seniors or unit managers. Your opinion of thi gs do not count, and if you go to seniors and explain to them that thi gs are getting too much on the floor they tell you what you want to hear then stab you in the back. Staff walk out because of members of staff thinking they are top dog. 
Your expected to put up and shut up.  Constantly working short staffed because its not about the care its about making money. 
The home itsbself is absolutely stunning, the overall running of the place is dreadful

Started out very promising, loads of promises were made very hopeful. The act soon drops. It is a very toxic home. The management is the problem, if your face fits you’ll be fine. 
Care staff never stop from the start of there shift until the very end with no thanks or recognition from those higher. The manager never enters the unit unless it’s to tell everyone what they’ve done wrong. The unit manager don’t see the residents unless it’s to give medication. There is no team work except amongst care staff themselves. Truly a horrible place. It is not about the residents but about money there is no care at all for the residents. 

Enjoyable place to work with friendly staff who work as a team. The registered manager is lovely and always has time to support the staff if they require and is approachable. The care manager (deputy) on the other hand is not, very hard person to work for, never gives any positivity only negativity. Favours certain members of staff over others. The main reason I left was due to the lack of support from the care manager whom is meant to deal with the day to day side of things and support on the floor. 

Old Norse lodge is a lovely place to work. It’s bright and has a lovely welcoming feel to it. The front of house is happy to help anyone whether that be residents or visitors. The staff do their best to support the residents to the best of their abilities and do genuinely care. Residents seem happy and have a good relationship with staff. Management are supportive and I feel I can go to management at any time, for support or any issues that may need resolving. Management have been very supportive to me and other staff members. 

Stressful. I left because management did not really care about staff. Management never came in to see how staff were doing or if they needed help. Unit managers sit om computers updating care plans all day and don't help on the floor. When things are not 100 they are quick enough to come to you and ask why instead of helping out

My overall experience working with Danforth Care has been very pleasant, everyone who works at Old Norse Lodge care home is just amazing, the team workmanship is something to be envious of as the way that everyone gets on with everyone is to be admired. 

This is a really good place to work, the management are really helpful and the team are lovely. Paid breaks, great atmosphere to work and the care is exceptional. 

No work life balance manger relies on other people to do her work
They lie to cover up mistakes 
Staff are rude and obnoxious 
Avoid working here it's not a nice environment
