This place is a good place to learn how not to be treated by an employer, starting wage is good but you never get a proper raise after 2 years only got 1.5$/hr in raises while other companies in the same field give out 1$-1.5$ raise twice a year, management as no clue what they are doing they play favorites and treat the others like human garbage, your constantly being called on both company and personal phones when you have days off and are expected to answer, everything you do with the company vehicle is expected to do on your own time which includes taking the vehicle on regular maintenance and restocking equipment 

Brutal work environment manager in Mississauga couldn't run a one man parade. Constantly telling his technicians they're not making enough money for the company. Training doesn't exist for new technicians with constant change over with employees. BELL CANADA has been getting ripped off by Data wiring solutions on fraudulent repairs. Illegal Electrical disconnects for phone booths being  done by non qualified technicians to save a buck. The manager in Mississauga has zero communications skills with a short fuse. Good luck to those who apply.

Just before the 3 month period was up, got terminated,verbally told with no warning that it was because no work available and can't afford 3 techs on site. One day after saw an ad on Indeed for my position. My co-workers and I had different personalities which made it difficult for me to fit in. I was often ostracized and criticized. I always felt like a loaner. Seeing the ad on Indeed showed me that I was terminated because I was unliked by my co-workers. The boss lying about why I was terminated shows that he and the company have no good morals. Totally sleazy what they did! If you don't fit in with the click, you get the boot!!

Wage was garbage for the work you're doing, management was hot garbage, and work life balance sucked. I was supposed to work weekends on a 5 week rotation as well as a week of evenings on the same 5 week rotation.....Yeah right, day shift, evening shift, evening shift, day shift, day off, weekend shift, day off, night shift, day shift, day off, night shift, day shift. Horrible training, have to take care of company vehicle on own time, including regular Maintenance, and washing it on your own dime. Not to mention I was flat out lied to during the interview process on multiple things.

Spent 4 years with DWS and would definitely go back. Only left due to moving away but will always remember my time fondly and feel very grateful for the experience. Management always looked out for my best interest and would due a lot to help/accommodate. Lots of road work so good for overtime but also a lot of jobs in city so always had options. Would recommend for anyone interested in the telecom field. 

Great field level staff. Very thorough, safe, organized, productive and efficient technicians. 

Technicians are treated as 2nd class compared to office staff.

Not a job for lazy people, long, hard, physical work with compulsory overtime and overnight shifts without extra overtime pay. (Just straight hourly rate)

My experience with management has some obvious ups and downs but mostly ups. Best company I've worked for so far. Enjoy the open road side of travelling between communities. Just remember to bring bug spray and wasp killer and plenty of water in the summer time.

Working on structure you follow a lead tech around for a while, they get mad if you don’t already know things, barely answer questions, and will complain to management about you with telling you anything. 

Try and avoid this if you like working in the city, they take on way too much road work, and don’t tell you you’re going until the Friday before. 

installing and repairing telco equipment traveling from one subscriber to the next repairing issues and installing and upgrading services i have learned how to install and trouble shoot most telco equipment whilst working in a team environment where there is always someone to lend a hand.

Brutal spot to work, nothing is satisfactory for management. 

Older “techs” will bad mouth you to save their own job, some of the people are best kind to your face then have no problem throwing you under the bus.
