I would not recommend any IT friends working here.  Their pay and benefits are below industry standards.  All management create and inhibit a toxic working environment.  As such, they only want yes people working there.  Was told by management on several occasions that working here is a stepping stone for workers to move on.  There is a high turnover rate with staff.  Training is very poor, and you are thrown into a sink  or swim atmosphere.  There is a real disconnect with management and staff.  No room or opportunities for advancement.

Although this position was paid entry level, it was more than an entry level position and not paid accordingly.

That aside, the knowledge and personal networking gained from DV has still paid dividends. I learned a tonne from some very skilled IT professionals which really saddened me when I decided to leave to move back to Ontario.

 It was a tremendous experience that I will never forget.

Things have changed a lot in the last 2 years, for the better. Salaries are competitive, except maybe for the level 1 positions. They have flexible hours, 5 paid personal days per year, there's even anonymous polls every month so they can know what they can improve and townhalls so we can see what the big picture is, where the company is going. 

Friendly management too.

I have been working with Datavalet for over three years. The workplace culture is amazing; it's inclusive and respectful. The management team cares about the employees and provides many benefits that help with job-life balance and physical and mental health. 

Leadership is supportive and attentive. Products are bleedng edge.  Thw work we do provides a sense of pride and accomplishment. Datvalet gives back to the community. 


Great place to work. Management is sensitive to employee and employee needs. If you want to learn in a field that will benefit the company, they will help you. If you want the big bucks then this is not the place for you.

The hardest part of my job was to learn a completely new technology and perform with excellence in such a way that my company would love to hire me back anytime if ever in future i come back.

There is room for improvement in employee benefits and salaries. Most people who leave, enjoyed the positive atmosphere but higher salaries, flextime, and much higher bonuses elsewhere is hard to beat.


Decent place for those wanting to get started in tech support. Pretty relaxed work environment and conditions.  Close to public transport and a few restaurants.
