Wyndham Manor is long term care centre located in Oakville. It is fun to work at Wyndham, all the staffs are professional and very outgoing. The residents are also easygoing and fun to interact with. At Wyndham, I learned how to associate and work with seniors. I learned about their personalities and how to satisfy their needs. 
My typical day at Wyndham starts by changing dates and calenders, helping seniors with exercise, assisting with feeding at lunch, assisting in outings, and talking with seniors. 
All the clients are seniors who are very advanced in age, sometimes it's very hard to understand thier needs immeidately and satisfy them. Some of them are old and living without their family members, and because of this it's hard to make them feel at home just like the life they lived before coming to the long term care facilities. 
The most enjoyable part of the job is the ability to mingle with people of diverse cultures.

Management not really supportive of the hard working employees here. We often talk to them about the employees who do not come in for their shifts. Nothing is done. Other people have to come in on their days off to fill in. No offense but we  feel we are being taken advantage of.  The pay isn't enough for the long hours some of hs put to make this company look good. I know it can be better if management would stand up for those who deserve it and take care of the problems with the situation at hand. It's a very nice place to work. Some of the employees have become very good friends mine. We don't like seeing each other get burnt out  like we have been lately. I hope this reaches someone who's willing to ask questions. 

My daily functions, were to oversee the entire hotel, to make sure that it meet with the brand standards of Wyndham. To ensure that each and every guest walked in to our hotel with a smile and walked out with a smile and a look of satisfaction.

 To review trip advisor and answer any questions or concerns the guest may have had, and to come to some solution to any problem that may have occurred during their stay.

To maintain a staff of 20+ people, work with budget, daily and monthly reports, work with excel, manage profit and lost, hire and firing off staff members, to secure a happy and safe environment for my staff and my guest.

Very accommodating, great co-workers, excellent benefits.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Attitudes of customers calling in or emailing.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Casual, family-like environment. They had a motto of being one company, one family.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work two hours, have a break. Work another two hours, have lunch. Work another two hours and have final break, and then work final two hours. 

As they were using a hybrid model, we only had to go into the office once a month.

I visited or called on customers daily.  I was assigned to corporate level customers.  I maintained the current accounts and added more business to my current accounts by building trust with customers.  Had customers to the property for lunch and showed them the rooms, banquet, restaurant, and introduced them to as many sales and front desk staff as possible.

I loved my job.  Operations manager was also part of my job.   Facilitating weekend event.  Also manager on duty and handled face to face complaints from guests.

typical day at work was busy but well-structured, with clear tasks and steady teamwork. I learned valuable skills like time management, communication, and how to work efficiently under pressure. Management was supportive and approachable, always willing to guide and listen. The workplace culture was respectful, diverse, and team oriented, which made it comfortable to work and grow. The hardest part of the job was handling tight deadlines during peak hours. The most enjoyable part was collaborating with coworkers and gaining confidence through new responsibilities and daily learning experience.

The work environment is wonderful, your bosses actually care about you. The incentives and opportunity for advancement within the company

Dealing with upset customers over the phone

Feel like your making a difference in helping customers with bad experiences while enjoying the family like work culture to make the day go by

The best part is all the people I met over the years and plenty of opportunities for different positions. I will miss it

Upset members until you solved the problems they had with the account

Everyone worked side by side on the phones so it could get a bit loud 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Come in do your job and go home  also abit of socializing between calls

Wingate was a perfectly fine company, but shifts changed from slow and easy to overwhelming very suddenly. Working night shift was especially volatile because some nights absolutely nothing happened and you had an hour or two to read a book, and other nights you would have someone high on drugs strip naked outside your front door.

Management was generally understanding and collaborative, but I had a difficult time getting clear expectations. It was difficult to align my response to problems with whatever the day manager deemed appropriate.

Where I worked and who I worked with was amazing. From management to every staff member it was a great team. The TH at the time hired staff that would work well together as well room time to get to know individually every staff and long term guest. The down call was after the GM left no one's came and went and no one cares anymore as well big changes were going to be happening and no one was told anything till the very last minute. Made the employees feel unappreciated.
