On a typical day I was able to analyze student admission criteria and provide ethical and institutionally valid responses that cleared the students for admission.  I further monitored student progress and provided guidance , encouragement and planning that  helped the student achieve the goal; of graduation.

 I also continued to analyze course appropriateness and made recommendations to management.  For the past three years I have provided Career service assistance to graduates.

(1) Workplace culture: There is no community among on-line instructors, so communication is entirely dependent on your manager. My managers had no interest in my development, and I was ignored as long as I was compliant. 
(2) Least enjoyable part of the job - There is NO academic freedom in coursework design. The curriculum stagnates since, in the business classes, for example, the curriculum comes from a purchased application from the textbook's publisher that was never updated. I did not enjoy seeing students with poor participation rewarded by lack of rigor and excessively high grades.

they taught you how to prospect and work direct mail campaigns , to present and close . If you followed the formula you did well, they had it all figured out  , I still use the techniques i learned there to this day.  

A typical day at work consisted of analysing the problems and finding solutions in a timely manner. We utilized our resources and collaborated with team members to prioritize our focus. Excellent management provided us with additional resources and open communication, a great recipe for success.

DeVry was a wonderful place, my typical day at work was dealing with students and helping them receive the best experience at DeVry. The hardest part was students not being accepted due to financing.

In class reviews and in lab training provided adequate skills for entry level work. Technology class that i attended for 4  trimesters had a small class where easier access to lab equipment was provided. A very large class in the Technician group made  access difficult.

DeVry was a unique institution.I really enjoyed in teaching. In electronic lab,students appreciate when I used to explain them theory too. In practical,safety precaution is considered before doing any project.

worked there over 11 years.  Worked hard for the students but even harder for the boss.  Most of the employees were there for years.  Although a for Profit institution, we didn't seem like greedy salespeople just to get money. 

Constantly learning period. Educated people around to work for and work with. Discounts to attend classes and take courses. I benefited very much.

I have enjoyed teaching every day during my career. I have earned top ratings for several years. My student evaluations were highest rated. I earned three distinguished prizes for my performance.
