Having worked at DeZurik for 5+ years, I've experienced firsthand the supportive and caring culture that truly sets this company apart. One of the most noteworthy aspects is the genuine concern for employee well-being,  personal life, health and ergonomics, which is evident in various practices.

The recent changes in the engineering management have been a breath of fresh air, bringing a Wave of optimism for future Success. These changes have not only streamlined our processes but also enhanced our work environment, making it more dynamic and forward-thinking.

Weekly one-on-one meetings are a testament to how much the company cares. These sessions are not just about work progress but also about personal growth and well-being. The managers take the time to listen and provide guidance, which has been incredibly beneficial.

Social events are the icing on the cake. Monthly gatherings, coupled with special events like summer BBQs and picnics, create a sense of community and provide a great way to unwind and connect with colleagues on a more personal level. These events demonstrate the company's commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance and building a cohesive team.

In conclusion, DeZurik not only excels in its business domain but also in creating an environment where employees feel valued and cared for. The combination of supportive management, regular personal check-ins, and enjoyable social events makes this a great place to work.

Working at this company was a mixed bag. While colleagues are supportive and collaborative, management's conduct is deeply disappointing. They often hire through temp agencies, promising permanent roles that rarely materialize. Some managers display unethical behavior, lying and failing to honor commitments. 

Proceed with utmost caution before considering employment. The challenges you'll encounter here are beyond comprehension; some days, it feels nearly impossible to breathe. The manager's utter lack of leadership skills is striking; routinely diminishes your value and dismisses your input, making decisions without regard for the team's capacity, leaving everyone struggling. What's truly frustrating is the unnecessary pressure stemming solely from the manager's incompetence; they prioritizes their own advancement over the team's well-being, sacrificing them to boost their own image. If you have prior experience in a similar role, keep it to yourself; the manager demands blind obedience, and playing dumb may be the safest strategy. If you're up for the challenge, demand substantial compensation—a minimum of $75k is advisable. But don't hold out for career growth; it's non-existent here. It's advisable to steer clear until there's a change in management.


I worked for DeZURIK in Cambridge for just over a year. Instead of hiring me directly, they used a temp agency (I was young and naive and agreed to this). I was then congratulated on my hard work and constantly told I would be hired permanently soon. There was a lot of change in management so I waited. That day never came, the oil industry projections looked bad, so they made cuts. I was one of them.                                                                                       It was a very quiet workplace (too quiet), and there were many rules and restrictions on your day-to-day work. It was not flexible and quite dated. It was an ageing company when I was there, there were a lot of people over 50, which had excellent knowledge but lack of diversity and a concern for the future.

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, I gained valuable hands-on experience and improved my technical skills. The team was supportive, and the work environment encouraged learning. Some tasks were challenging, but they helped me grow. Overall, it was a rewarding experience that gave me a solid foundation for my engineering career.

Lots of personnel changes, 1 Company ownership change happened in my time there for various reasons, interesting product, knowledgeable staff, not being Canadian owned in my opinion created some problems

good people to work with. poor and unprofessional management. little room for growth. more focused on monthly and yearly monetary targets versus the people who actually work hard to make them that money.

Excellent group of people with work dedication and great work life balance.
I really enjoy working at Dezurik. Really refreshing Team activities are fun.
