It's a great place if you wanna get a start on acting, pretty much anyone passionate enough can the role they want and at times you can even upgrade or change, the management are really friendly but you can tell they are working very hard and expect the same of you. Keeping the house open this year did kind of sock with covid 19, basically you needed to wear a mask underneath a silicone mask which caused a lot drool to be soaked up in the cloth which made it hard to get use too. Guests are friendly though I've heard stories of saxual harassment to women from customers thankfully management dealt with that at every opportunity they could. 



Does not pay much, but it is more than volunteering. Management is very firm in  expectations so the haunt is safely functioning, but they are extremely supportive and encouraging. As a direct result, there is the camaraderie and supportive dynamic from your coworkers year to year. Love all my 'deadfam'. Training is mandatory to help with personal development and position or function within the hanut. It can be very fast paced, with some lulls between groups coming through

I wish this job lasted longer because it was fun scaring people and getting to be apart of a big family that is very passionate about their work. The only downsides is that you have to deal with customers and we all know how that goes. Plus you are going home really late most nights. 

Over the course of the Halloween season I got to grow an appreciation for people who have to deal with customers and not be able snap back with a witty remark or scare the pants off the person who is disrespecting them. Overall 10/10 And I will be working here again!

Working at Deadmonton is beyond worth it for anyone with acting experience or a fascination for horror, and those who want to push their physical and mental boundaries.

It is hard work. Roles are often physically demanding, and customers can be a little unruly — just as a result of fight or flight and/or intoxication — but expect your managers and fellow castmates to come in clutch when you need them to. Deadmonton is a family because of the welcoming and supportive atmosphere employees create.

If you're looking for an amazing work environment with absolutely incredible people throughout the Halloween season, Deadmonton is the haunt to work! A great & intense seasonal job scaring the living daylights out of people that walk through the houses.
Be sure to be physically & psychologically ready for this job!

It was an absolute blast working this year. An honest shame it’s not a year round job. If I could, I’d work there as long as I could. The managers are friendly and make sure you’re okay every thirty minutes. Ryan, the owner, is an absolute blast of a guy who has a wicked sense of humour. 

Lots of fun and a dream if you love anything horror and the like! Lots of opportunities to try different spots and scares during training. The most fun and fast pace place i’ve worked thus far!

From detailed sets to trained actors throughout, Deadmonton takes pleasure in scaring the customers - because that is what they come there for. Details sets, masks and costumes give customers the illusion of being in an entirely different world, and the team revels in making it so.

The most enjoyable part of the job was getting to see everyone working together as a team and being ready to bring a smile to everyone’s faces.
I really enjoyed working there because it was the best fun I’ve ever had well working and I would 100% work there again.
