Delaware North

A typical day for me at work would be getting my rooms keepers ready for the day. We have 245 rooms to tend. Guest check ins at 5 pm and we need to make sure that their room is ready. I learned a lot being in management here in the park. From getting the weirdest complaint to the funniest. The management team here are solid. There's HR department always ready and willing to give advise. My co-workers are true professinals. They know their jobs and responsibilities. The hardest part of my job is when I am short staffed and I have no choice but to give everybody more work than usual. The most enjoyable part is when I get off work I get to enjoy the beauty of the park and maybe do a little bike ride a hike.

A typical day at work was getting to an event such as a concert or hockey game about half an hour or hour early(Depending on event) to set up the concession for the costumers. Once set up it would be a fast paced environment for a little while and then slow down which was basically the hardest part of the job. The co-Workers where good and where easy to work with and managment was very good. I didn't really learn a lot there that I already didn't know a lot of the job was basically just basic cooking and etc. The most enjoyable part of the job was getting to hear shows like Santana,Pearl Jam etc.

all of the top management were out no later than 300pm.always a lost in left field former employee supervisor on duty.mention something wrong their responce they don"t know noting about it.I can communicate with someone half around the world on my smart phone with no problem on the clock.communicating with managment on a both a smart phone or landline phone is unposible.negative comments are said by customers about the company but managment blames it on the employee.such as warm beer.low quality products serve.

Overworked, unappreciated.

They make us work til 1 or 2am sometimes when the game ended at 10. We have to spend an hour doing math calculations line by line manually when even our boss said he could print it out on the computer in a minute..but the company wouldn't let him. It is sometimes fun. We had a boss since last year who was the best....(we had 3 or 4 different ones before him.) He was great, he tried and made some things better but he quit after giving up and now there isn't anyone. Some supervisors run it but, they are difficult and aren't organized.

Delaware North is a company that enjoys change, cuisine is important to the company and they treat there chefs with great respect.
There is opportunity to travel and work at other properties across the globe.

It wasn't just the team at Rexall, it was the team within the company, we all knew each other from the conferences and working together.

Great atmosphere to work in.

They truly value people as their most important asset and they invest a large percentage of the revenues into training and development. Work life balance is their number one priority and they pay people their worth plus. They have highest satisfaction of employees that I have ever seen in my 39 years career.

I usually work from 5-11 pm as a typical day at Rexall place. I would help the employees by prepping the food and getting everything organized before we opened to the public. 

I learned a lot about how to handle current situations and how to deal with a high pace environment.

I had to work 12 hours a day sometimes due to many events we had during the day, plus presets for net days events.
They really appreciate your work and let you think out of the box in certain occasions.
Beautiful work environment with very respectful coworkers. 

A typical work day begins with a great work out- throwing dirty linens into the work truck. Precision, accuracy, patience,etc. Great management. The best co-workers. Working in the height of summer in Yosemite. At times the heat was exhausting. Being in such a wonderful place such as Yosemite.

Great company leadership at property level and corporate level.
