All the good managers have left or became totally jaded and just don't care. We haven't had a staff meeting in two years. A lot of them schedule themselves to their convenience so the store is often without support and run by two people at a time. 

I've gotten one raise since starting years ago. You're never ever rewarded for going above, Infact you're sometimes punished. 

I've watched my hours get less and less and I just barely qualify for benefits at this point. Some of my colleagues have lost their benefits for really stupid semantics. Some have never even got their benefits even though they qualify.

Drama is really big as a lot of people here are oversized children who will start arguments over nothing. I feel like I'm working the highschool chip shop again.

Me and a few other colleagues were looking forward to a promotion but instead hired from the outside to take those positions. Seniority means nothing.

Somehow the customers are the ones making it worth it. At any other job this wouldn't be the case. I have enough positive customer interactions that I am still getting some enjoyment out of this job. I have formed a relationship with many of them and I've even gotten lots of nicknames. It almost makes you feel like a celebrity.

they hire management with  zero experience in cannabis which is alright but then they teach them their ridiculous ideologies of how they "think" processes should be run without actually taking the time to learn how the process works. if you do bring a good idea to the table they brush it off then present later to the higher ups as their own and take credit where credit isn't due. they do not take employee issues seriously and then wonder why employee turn around is so high. complete disregard for product quality they just make everything look good in the warehouse to impress potential investors. that being said when they give investor tours they lie through their teeth and make up whatever they think will make the investors want to hand over their money. they don't listen to employees that have experience and know simple ways to improve product quality and increase in yield. 

the only good thing i have to say about this work place in the hard working associates that make day to day operations run despite the chaos that the "people upstairs" create. also I learned the "in's and out's" of health canada and how the legal market works to run successfully.

Delta 9 has some of the worst management I've seen out of any company I've worked for. Managers, team leads, and individuals in positions of power/leadership seem to have no experience whatsoever, and it reflects in the quality of our work and our product. The company only cares about making as much money as possible, while cutting as many corners as possible. 
Management claims they help you "grow your career," however that is false. Hard working individuals will not receive promotions no matter how hard they try, meanwhile others will get promoted on the spot without having to complete an interview. 
Pay starts above minimum wage, but don't ever expect a significant raise. The wages we receive are not up to par with the work we have to complete as well as the extremely unfavourable conditions we are forced to work in. 
This is not the worst job in the world, but it is pretty close. If you are planning on breaking into the cannabis industry, Delta9 is not the place to start. 

Enjoy being overworked ? Exposed to moldy weed and grow rooms on the daily? Cool because no one cares about any of it. "Yea, but gamma irradiation stops all the active mold from spreading" - upper management 

At Delta 9 the top of the company will hold "stock option meetings." Telling you to take money out of YOUR line of credit to invest in stock because investors who have any business smarts haven't looked at this dying stock in 2 years. 

I guess if you REALLY need a job and have no respect for yourself at all, this might be an suitable last option.I seriously would recommend a fast food jobs over this. 

Most temp workers won't stay more than a day or two, never mind taking full time positions. If this doesn't make you think twice, I'm not sure what will. Good luck out there.



No development of skill or guidance at all as Management leaves much to be desired as well as the people in charge of the cannabis growing and quality of said product. Powdery mildew aplenty and nothing being done to stop it as well as a plethora of other issues that are simply overlooked or blamed on another person/department. SOP’s are hazy at best and hard to actually follow. There was a blatant group of people in charge and the rest of the people there are looked at as tools to be used and replaced when they inevitably break down and leave or are pushed out

Too much complaining by middle and lower management; too many selfish people poisoning the day; no standards--SOP unteachable and not designed for clarity but are used for playing favorites and hiding people lower management's ignorance and indifference about the product; too much bandwagoning; no leaders; no values or goals or care about product; poor design of pods and grow environment; too many know it alls and no evidence or no science being used, discussed, or acceptes; QA is a joke and the master grower a bigger one; no caring about plant sickness (PM); no plans; discipline and reward arbitrary and inconsistent.

Average temperature 41 degrees, Level 2 “supervisors” rude and unprofessional, AND terrible pay? Look no further if you’re willing to do all the work to line the pockets of a greedy CEO who does not care about his employees. 

Working conditions are extremely poor, which aligns with the quality of the product that is grown here. Mold, mildew and other issues are not solved, instead they are ignored and anyone who speaks out against fundamental and systemic issues are silenced.

Avoid this company, they do not care about the product they put out, and they definitely do not care about their employees. If you have a passion to work with Cannabis , look for another company that has values and ethics. 

Probably the most toxic work environment I've ever been in. Management has created a culture where employees feel comfortable using high school bully tactics to advance, and they will probably get promoted over hard working caring people. There is mold and mildew inside most of the pods, and little to protect you from it.  Communication is non-existent and often lower level employees get blamed for upper managements shortcomings. Constant pressure to produce large amounts of work while being short staffed most of the time. Avoid working here unless it's your last option!!!

From my short experience here it was garbage. They’ll hire pretty much anyone, they put you in “pods” to trim the cannabis, no air conditioning so it gets hot pretty quickly, no one talks to eachother it was like working with a bunch of zombies. Every question I asked I received literal one word answered, idk why they make their employees work in containers, making it a literal sauna. It’s ok if you really need the job I suppose but I would run if I were you, there is way better out there. 

It's a good job if your just they're to clock in and clock out. If you have a genuine passion for cannabis this isn't the place for you. Doing twice the work of your peers does not get you closer to getting a raise. 

The benefits seem to be geared toward the c-suite including travel discounts and other extravagant things the average employee will never take advantage of.
