Dentistry By The Bay

After years I still love working at Dentistry By The Bay. It is a high paced office that keeps me busy and I feel effective and confident about helping the local community. The office manager is highly experienced with both dentistry, and managing staff/HR. The owner is kind and is also a fantastic dentist. Ive worked with majority of the dental assistants, hygienists and dentists for over 2 years and think of them as my 2nd family. After COVID hit, we were one of the only offices that was able to stay open and help out hundreds of patients (that other offices had shut their doors to). Cant say enough good things about this place!

The teamwork between the staff members of this office is incredible. I work with all the departments within the practice including the front desk, assistants, hygienists and dentists, and the moment something needs to be done, they all become one to take care of that specific task in the shortest period of time. The manager of the practice is truly a leader and the dentists are experts. Highly recommend working in this dental office if you can get a job offer!

The role lacked clear and realistic direction, which felt like a set up for failure. It was hard to work to the best of my abilities out of fear for being reprimanded for things that were beyond my control (i.e. cancelled appointments). The bonuses and performance incentives were completely negated by the micromanagement, poor communication and the toxic environment.

I enjoyed my job loved it however the owner was a  micro manager and had camera’s on us at all times watched us from his home, vacation etc. He was a nice human but lacked on how to treat his emplyees

The dentist there are very informative and ensure the best for their employees. Great learning environment and very structured 
Give lots of training opportunities

Lots of space to grow ,lots of bonuses and benefits ,evening and Saturdays

Not sure what the new owner is like, but the last owner treated her staff terribly.  Staff members quit on the spot, because they couldn't take the mistreatment from the owner.
