I learned a great deal about clinical trial coordination, regulatory requirements, and patient care. 

The team dynamic was generally supportive, but there were occasional challenges with management, as communication and flexibility could have been improved. Workplace culture is structured.

The most challenging part of the role was managing the workload under tight deadlines, particularly when juggling multiple projects. However, working directly with clinical trials and patients, and contributing to important research, was extremely rewarding.

Overall, DermEdge Research provided a solid foundation for clinical research work.

Cons
- Toxic work environment, similar to a high school atmosphere, which negatively impacted team collaboration and morale.
- Encountered biases within the HR "department", particularly noteworthy is the composition of a single-person department, whose marital connection to a doctor within the clinic posed challenges to open communication and hindered effective issue resolution.
- Consistently encountered challenges with compensation, characterized by salaries consistently falling significantly below the market average. Notably, discrepancies were observed in the compensation offered for identical job postings.
- Experienced a lack of appreciation from management and communication gaps.
- Perceived adversarial dynamics among colleagues and management once relationships soured.
- Noted a high turnover rate, raising concerns about overall workplace satisfaction and stability.

Pros
- Appreciate the availability of complimentary coffee and regular snacks in the kitchen.

I had the privilege of working as the Lead Medical Aesthetician at DermEdge, closely with Dr. Lomaga, a distinguished dermatologist, and a wonderful team. My experience was exceptional, with supportive and respectful management.

In my time at Dermedge I experienced a low paying, low appreciation job in an atmosphere with consistent gossip and drama alongside unhappy co workers, as previously reviewed by other former employees. 

The disgruntled individual who is demonstrating a lack of professionalism in their attitude and maturity in their replies should be incredibly embarrassed by their behaviour.

If I can offer a word of advice to this company it would be to redirect the copious amount of time spent demeaning former employees experiences towards improving the work environment and to have some humility when receiving constructive feedback.

I was hired and paid 16/hour, however i can guarantee my coworkers were paid more than me for the same position. They also put up a job listing for my position and it was advertised as 18/hour. Also a really stressful environment and drove me to quit due to it ultimately affecting my health. Co-workers were not very welcoming and always felt like less than.

Good business hours Monday to Friday, with no weekends.  Busy clinic for sure, but being a part of a patients' healthcare journey makes it very meaningful. 

I have learned so much at DermEdge, such as wonderful workplace environment and great team to work with and very friendly staff. I enjoyed working there.
