Arrive.
Get conformation from manager on my job duties. Ie. bar, kitchen, waitstaff.

Bar- 
Set up the bar in a professional manner.
Stock bar with cups, ice, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, bins and a gabage.
Serve guest promptly and with joy.

Kitchen-
Insure that all event items are accounted for.
Help set all the tables. sometimes up ward to 25-50 tables.
Make sure plates go out with consistency.
Keep area clean for waitstaff so that different courses can go out smoothly. 

Waitstaff-
Review seating plan and menu.
Insure that guest are accommodated with food and drinks.
Create a friendly atmosphere and be knowledgeable about the food.
Help clean and keep things running smoothly.

The part of being able to engage in conversation with people at these events and join in on their laughter is what I enjoy the most.

Management was okay, a little disorganized at times but the move into online work booking for various events helped.
People are easy to work with though out the staff.

Working for DGS  has some pressure period. You are responsible for the overall experience of the guests & client. I always had overall briefings then sub briefings to ensure the staff know whats flips have to be done seamlessly, this is the part where the pressure is severe. My Team always succeeded and that because we continue to have staff that are competent, engaging, willing to do anything to ensure Event success! The staff are amazing to work with, we complement each other’s skill set and braun! DGS staff are the most meticulous people Ive come across in the industry! No is not a word we use here at DGS! Great staff, schedulers, managers and BOSS! Great place to work!! 

I had the pleasure of working as a waitstaff at DGS Events, and I am delighted to share my positive experience with this company. DGS Events truly exemplifies excellence in the hospitality industry.

The management team at DGS Events is incredibly supportive and creates a positive work environment. They value and appreciate their staff, fostering a sense of camaraderie and teamwork among all employees. The training provided was thorough and ensured that every staff member was equipped with the necessary skills to excel in their roles.


Day to day was very tedious. My co-workers made the days enjoyable and fun. Unfortunately, the management was absolutely terrible. He made multiple employees cry. He would scream at you for anything even slightly wrong. He would forget every single thing you would tell him and then act shocked when it would come up again. It almost seemed like threatening our jobs was a hobby of his. There was a lot of employee turnover and it is not hard to see why.

DGS is a very successful and well managed company. Very nice company to work with. I had a great time and team. DGS is a the right company if you understand and like to work as a team work, everyone is friendly and respectful. I work as a hostess and coat check and i have learned to work under pressure which helps me a lot in a day life. Taking to clients and being approachable is part of the job to creat a nice and enjoyable environment

Working here was challenging. Be prepared for long hours and managing a second workphone for weekend events and emergencies. 

Great if you have a go getting personality. Definitely a little cut throat. 

It gets really superficial especially for high end events.  

In my current position, I am a server for many different events, including community gatherings, weddings, and rehearsal dinners. I have a Knack for problems solving and work well independently and with little oversight. It's great to always be at different parties and feel that you were part of the success event.

Tasks include greeting clients, serving food to the clientele, handling food inventory, preparing tables for the clients, responsibly serving and handling alcohol.

DGS has a lot of opoortunities, but you have to be fast and flexible, because they contact you only a few days or hours before each job and need you to accept or deny as soon as possible.

Some senior staff to work with but others were not nice. Not a lot of shifts and then suddenly being called day of to fill gaps. Hard work that was sometimes worth it but not enough shifts to only work here. Would recommend as a second job.
