I loved the people that I worked with and it was only because of them that I stayed as long as I did. I worked there for a year and was promised that I’d be able to be trained in different stations and with that came a raise- however after a year of work I finally asked to be trained in a different station and was told that I couldn’t because we didn’t have enough staff. Fair enough. But all of the new hires were getting trained in more than one station while me and other long term coworkers were denied training. You can understand how that comes off. Also the work environment is stressful; there were multiple instances where I got home and cried after just a five hour shift with the managers present. They yell at you and talk down to you, and lack even the basic concept of sympathy or patience when it comes to trainees. I’ve witnessed new hires being berated heavily for making mistakes, but is that not what is expected when learning something new? I can say that as soon as the managers leave the stress levels are lower and efficiency is higher. Overall, they are not friendly to new hires and it is not a great place to work.

Working at Dairy Queen was a positive experience overall. As a Chill staff member, I prepared various ice cream treats and interacted directly with customers, which helped me improve my customer service skills. The fast-paced environment required me to perform tasks quickly and accurately, enhancing my time management and efficiency. Additionally, collaborating with team members to keep the store running smoothly taught me the importance of teamwork.




The company itself has some positive programs dealing with food safety and overall way they would like the franchises to be run. these programs. individual franchise owners run there stores differently. Due to this there can be excellent to very bad franchise owners. making it hard to rate as being very good or bad. Turnover in staff is very frequent as well.

Management needs major improvements. They don’t train people properly then get made at them for not being trained.  The manager is mean to the workers and talks about workers and customers behind their back

As we opened a new store together the co-workers became a family very quickly, though some management was flawed (because of the new store) everyone always managed to get the job done right!

Love it made lots of friends and ice cream enjoyed all the happy customers hard to get a day off manager made me work 7 shifts a week even though I was part time and said I could only work 1. 

Nice place to work at, staff is very friendly. Management is great.
it was a busy restaurant back then when I used to work during 2014 to 2016. Dinning room is spacious.

Was a great place to to work just don't get caught up in the high school drama other then that it's a great place to work!
Very easy job if your a good multitasking!

Timesheets and payroll. Scheduling. Balance floats, bank deposits. Train new employess. Prepare food orders. Order stock.
