Direct Transport

A good place to gain experience before moving on to better things.
Typical P&D enterprise. Push you to get there as fast as possible.
Dispatchers are pushy to the max. Calling you every 10 min to see where you are even though they can follow you through the GPS.
They have many places to work for though. So it's easy to switch driving jobs and not change companies

Pros:
Decent Hours
Good work
Good coworkers
Large variety of work, not always doing the same thing. 
Some newer equipment. 


Cons:
Underpaid
Sometimes you won't make a full day if business is slow.
Sometimes you will have to stay late and work unexpected OT.
Difficult to support a family with these wages. 
Hard to plan days off around the work schedule. 
Double check your paystubs.

the hardest part was getting use to driving in calgary exspecially from a smaller city it was load and go all day unloading and unloading but really enjoyed it

Have started at various times of the day and night,whatever fits my/their schedule as I did work two jobs,I learned how to drive a moffet/flat deck/ box truck, doing many different contracts for the same company,

I worked as a team line haul driver from Edmonton to Regina 5 nights a week. The hardest part of the job was the 19 hour days, and the most enjoyable part would have to be my shift driving at night. The sense of accomplishment when meeting the arrival time given us 95% of the time was a great feeling to have.

Delivering food products to restaurants. Learned how to use a truck lift. Management have not really had to deal with as this was an outdoor job. Co-workers were great. Hardest part of the job was delivering to small restaurants. Most enjoyable part of the job was the great customer satisfaction.

I handled the all aspects of Office Management.
Multitasking in various roles as required.
Managed Billing/Payroll team - A/P Clerk - Scanning Clerks & Reception.
Extensive overtime as required.
Worked with a great Management Team.

i loved my job there it was fun working with people get to know different people  typical day at work just work on computer all day managment was great till they changed it  i had no hard part of the job

I was doing US and Toronto switches we had a truck to our self were he was not split sitting at seating we could have brought our truck to our home after we were done so overall it was a great place sorry that it had to close

No balance of work and home no management help with issues and was unionized .Not a good combination. Delivering to the terminals was nice but Anything to do with the office Or your pay was a constant fight
