What is the best part of working at the company?
Leaving. It is an autocratic culture riven with bullying.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management neurosis. Managers spied on employee comunications and bullied employees into Covid policy adherence.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Terrible. Most staff are unmotivated or unimaginative.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Answering emails and dealing with management neurosis.

It was probably the best job I ever had. Supervisor was flexible with my schedule, I could work whenever I wanted. The pay was great, my coworkers were supportive and informative. Overall a fantastic experience. Pretty laid back environment. Wish I could work there still but alas, I moved away and haven’t found anything as good as this job was. 

Group manager level is overworked, so expect supervision to be harried and harassed, not attentive and carefully considered.  The office is a typical open concept + cubicles arrangement.  People are generally friendly but highly siloed. HR is the weakest link.

Phenomenal people, great compensation.  Classic government job bureaucracy, but probably no worse than other municipalities.  Definitely behind in embracing a digital workplace, lots of antiquated processes


Great place to work in the beautiful environment. Management is always supportive and the level of micro-management is minimal. It is hard to become permanent full-time though.

enjoyed the work, very fair employer. good salary, great employees. good hours. no stress environment. toughest part was dealing with the public if they have complaints or any other issued they want immediately resolved

I run a crew of 3, I am responsible for many concrete projects to be finished in a timely manner with an emphasis on quality. The work is fun, the guys are great....I enjoy it

I found this place to provide an excellent opportunity to learn about community issues, and basically what it takes to get a city operating properly.

good work place, nice culture, fair pay for job, good benefits, friendly staff, good mentorship from senior management, very good work life balance with their CDO program 

People are nice to work with and there is lots of opportunity to learn about the community. Lovely building and great lunch room. Great experience being a clerk
