A typical day at work is fast-paced, active and focused. From the moment I start, I’m sorting clothes, treating stains, operating dry cleaning machines, and pressing garments to meet high-quality standards. It requires focus, speed, and attention to detail.

Through this job, I’ve learned a lot about different fabrics, how to treat various stains, and how to handle customer garments with care. I’ve also developed time management and teamwork skills.

Management is respectful, organized, and always available if I need help. They guide us and make sure everything runs smoothly.

The workplace culture is supportive and friendly. Everyone works together like a team, helping each other during busy times and maintaining a positive attitude.

The hardest part of the job is handling large loads during rush hours or when the weather is hot, it can be physically demanding. But the most enjoyable part is the satisfaction of seeing clothes look fresh and spotless, and knowing customers will be happy with the results. That’s the best reward.

I feel fortunate to be part of this organization, as it has proven to be a truly enriching experience. The workplace fosters a positive and supportive environment that encourages both personal and professional growth.
The management team is approachable, transparent, and genuinely invested in employees' well-being. Be prepared to complete two days of unpaid training with no guidance—essentially free labour. You’ll also need to have at least $500 on hand, as you’ll be required to repay the company for any lost uniforms or keys. Be aware that CCTV surveillance is everwhere, even during your lunch break, and you may receive calls accusing you of "wrongdoings."

If you feel unwell, don’t expect any flexibility with your schedule—it’s simply not an option. On top of that, you’re required to repay a $2000 training fee for boiler certification if you leave within six months. Run as fast as you can before they trap you with the contract!

Daily operations are disorganized, the environment is extremely stressful, and insults toward employees seem to be the norm.

The owner constantly micromanages you. I got in trouble for going to the washroom when I wasn't on break. As a driver you only get one unpaid 30 minute break per shift.

Training for van drivers is NOT paid and takes around two days. Dress code requires you to wear dress pants, which is very uncomfortable in rainy weather, winter is likely worse.

Starting wage is not $18 per hour like this ad says, it's actually lower than that. There is also no potential to "make substantially more than that" as the ad claims, the max wage you can make with this company as a driver is less than the starting wage that  most other delivery driving companies offer. Also you sign away all your health benefits with a 6 month probation, which is twice as long as the provincial probation. Avoid.

I've been working at Dolphin Dry Cleaners, and it's been an amazing experience. The team here is incredibly supportive, and the work environment is both friendly and professional. Management genuinely cares about employees and ensures we feel valued.

One of the things I appreciate most is the opportunity to learn and grow. Whether it's gaining new skills or improving existing ones, there’s always room for development. The work itself is rewarding, and the sense of teamwork makes every day enjoyable.

The work place culture is toxic in my experience. Be prepared for the other employees to report your every move to the Boss. Cameras everywhere and the boss is watching. You will get a text in the middle of your job duties. Boss will actually message you and tell you how you should be doing the job. No direct deposit or any paid breaks at Dolphin. The boss will ask you for a 6 month commitment. Then be upset with the employee for finding a better job. You see what I am saying its a job while your looking for a new job.

My duties ranged from customer service to pressing shirts to folding linen, easy job, and co workers are friendly l. 

Customer are easy and if there are any issues managers step up and handle it. My routine is pretty much the same everyday so if you don’t like repetitive work then it’s not for you, but I have no issue with that

Every time I think of all Dolphin cleaners , my heart swells with gratitude. Their kindness and support have touched me in ways I can't even express.I have a wonderful time working with them. Team support each other to support the daily tasks.Lots of opportunity to learn.
