The Dome from 5 years ago is gone, management is really only focused on favouritism. If they don’t like you, be prepared to be held in your position at a low salary for years, and bullied when you leave. Yes, it can be fun to travel for work, but if you’re working in the office be prepared for promises of travel that are never kept, demanding managers, and guilt trips. The overall mentality from management is “everyone is replaceable” and ultimately, it’s regular staff who suffer here.  

High stress work environment that never takes a break. Strong requirement for technical knowledge and understanding of Live Television production. 

I have learned about all aspects of the television industry. Different types of equipment: Cameras, Replay systems, Routers and Audio Equipment. 

Most enjoyable: being able to repair a piece of equipment or determine a fault and most importantly create live television content every day

Fast paced industry. No room for errors. Last minute demands but always working on new projects with new technologies to discover. For someone who works best under pressure, this company is perfect. I liked it because of that, the day goes by much faster.
Also, for sport lovers, 80% of jobs are in the live sporting events.

Very sporadic lifestyle and you must be willing to work not always knowing when your next job will be. But no other job is anything like it. Must be willing to sacrifice nights/weekends/holidays.

Located in the Rogers Center this was a fun and collaborative workspace. The leadership team had a wealth of experience and helped create a culture where employee didn't want to leave.

Some productions are challenging but I always enjoy a challenge. Most of the freelancers I work with are fabulous and easy to get along with and we work well together as a team.

Dome is wonderful, takes care of its employees no matter where they are producing videos from. Communication is always very clear and timely. Great pay and usually the best seat in the house.

Supervisors help you and ensure you understand any issues so that you can troubleshoot yourself next time. Everyone is very helpful and the freelancers get along well with each other at the workplace.
