A typical day at work will be your department supervisor chatting away for the first hour of their shift, but if seeing this you decide to stop and chat as well you will get told off like never before.

I believe I learned why people say minimum wage minimum effort. No matter how much work you do, how above and beyond you go, your work is not appreciated, it just becomes expected of you and if you start doing normal amount of work instead of exceeding now they are mad at you.

Management is absolutely terrible. 3 of us employees went to the manager and told them our supervisors aren't doing any work, and are coming into the job reeking of booze. Literally nothing at all was done. I was told to stop using the supervisor as an example of what work I should do and that I should be doing more than them.

The workplace culture goes like this : older employees can do as little work as they want and use their age as an excuse. Younger employees are berated if they aren't doing exceptional work. Same applies to supervisors and managers, they are not responsible for as much work as the regular employees who are expected to do the majority.

The hardest part of the job is always being told you aren't doing good enough. No matter how much you try, no matter how above and beyond you go, the manager will always come back with the same message, we are not doing good enough. Supervisors do little to try and make it sound any better, simply telling us " Yeah the manager said you guys still aren't doing good enough" very inspiring.

The most enjoyable part of the job is being able to work to your strengths. Since it is very uncoordinated if you excel at a certain area within your department you will likely be put there more often. So you usually end up working the areas you prefer to work.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There was no good part , it's a greedy company with very poor management .

Everything about the job is stressful, made to feel as though a person should work like a robot is not a healthy work environment.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environment is not healthy , the culture is a joke , they don't follow cultures they just enforce it for others to follow .

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful, horrible toxic environment , the company needs to evaluate its management and change managers around or let them go.

It's a good first job. You will learn some useful skills from different roles, and opportunity to practice custom service skills. 

Most of the tasks are straight forward (and easy), but you can expect frequent changes to policies and SOPs from HQ or management. 

The starting pay is minimum and it increases slowly every 500 or so hours, so you probably shouldn't expect to earn much from working here. It's a flat organization with decade-long career employees, so, you will most likely not see a career progression here at all.

toxic at best, no support or backup from head manageement

too much wiork...not enough time....

This was my first high school job. I was a cashier. I didn't work that hard. Management sometimes wasn't happy that I didn't brush my hair, or that I was a bit late, or that my till was $5 short at the end of the shift, but they were alright. I'd sometimes wedge a book between the till and the checkout divider and get some reading done. In all I can't complain, except that time a bird crapped on my during lunch break.

Flexible hours and the job is not too stressful. Perfect for part-time college/university students. Management could use improvement. I worked at the HMR department, which is basically like working at a fast food place, but only busy at certain parts of the day. You get to prepare food, serve customers and etc.

Working at Dominion is very enjoyable, I learned a lot, like serving the customers is my first thing that I like the most. The hardest part is doing the cash, people makes mistakes and I am one of them. But all my co-workers helps me a lot, especially my manager. 

The management have their favourites and the rest of us are treated terribly. This place doesn’t care about you, and they let you know. They don’t schedule hours but expect you to wait by the phone everyday.

I worked there for 15 years. Nice co-workers, good managers.Was kept busy and time went fast. Not much in the way of benefits and no sick days. Amount of hours changed from week to week... no opportunity for advancement.

Best part was working alone. Worst part was the disrespect you would get from other employees no higher in position than you, telling/demanding you how to do your job.
