The people you work for are great. Most co-workers that have been there for a long time treat you like you ether don't exist or you are nothing. They have no problem trash talking you or any new employee when you are in ear range. Its cut throat due to the high volume of calls on bad weather days, The bosses are understanding and patient. The training is something to be desired. They expect you to know everything when you hit the floor, with very lacking training and when you don't know how to do something, you're an imposition. The training needs updating and better trainers. They tell you to do things one way and you end up on the floor and it needs to be done a different way. And when you don't understand they refer you to your training which, well, isn't fair because they never taught you correctly in the first place. It is all around a high stress, high anxiety place to work. There is no way I can see anyone enjoying being yelled at by tow truck drivers or their dispatchers just for asking if they can help with your situation. This job is great for having paid breaks and understanding when you are ill, which you don't get from most companies. But the high stress is awful. Customers call in and want help but would rather yell at you and tell you how to do your job. It's not worth it.

Job at first was fun just based on the fact the other agents were fun to be around, you can work your behind off, be the top dispatcher and be a great worker and they will still only give advancements to the agents who do the bare minimum. The literal only good thing about this company is you can basically set your own hours and won’t get fired if you don’t go to your shifts. Company scams everyone , every client coverage is so bad so you get screamed at all day and feel like a horrible person because you literally can’t help them at all. Bad agents get promoted and good agents take all the work load. Force you to take US calls that you can’t even assist with because the coverage is different , force you to clean up US agents mess when they are the absolute worst workers in the world, US agents pass cases off to you because they get PTO when they get a certain amount of dispatches, you could do 30 dispatches and they’ll still treat you badly and if you wanna go home early it’s not paid. Managers are over worked so they can be rude for no reason when asking for help and customers have disgusting attitudes they’re so entitled and treat you like everything is your fault. 

I worked at Dominion Automobile Association for 5 years, mainly on the graveyard night shift as a dispatcher for towing. I was on nights for the longest time, and I really enjoyed it. The system we used was solid and never let me down. I liked helping people stuck on the side of the road and calling plenty of towing companies that were willing to work with us.

Sadly, working nights for so long took a toll on my health, and since that was the only shift available, I had to let the job go. Overall, I really enjoyed working there, and if I could go back, I definitely would. It was a valuable experience that taught me patience, communication skills, and the importance of teamwork under pressure.

For someone who has worked at 5 call centres in London ON, Dominion Auto (DAA) has been the absolute best call centre job for several reasons.

Located on Dufferin and Richmond it has made commuting to work as easy as it can get. There’s always places to go on break. On the job you get extensive training and there is always someone to help, even after training is complete. Work Computers have full internet access which is a great pass-time in between calls. There’s no fancy dress code which is liberating and flexible. They’re open 24/7 365 days a year, so you get to create your schedule depending on what hours/time of the day work best for you. It’s nice and colourfully decorated inside the office floor, large windows all over, whereas some call centres have been very plain and lifeless, one time even window-less.

I would recommend DAA to anybody who wants a better call centre experience, or to anyone interested in a great office-setting job experience.

There isn't a best.  Underpaid for the work you do, no chance for advancement unless you're someone the supervisor can puppet

Always being watched, not being able to help customers, instead taking there information and watching another team take hours.

Toxic, it has really gone downhill

It was log in, take calls, get approvals for costs to get customers service then go home

Resolve customer complaints via phone, email, mail, or social media. Use telephones to reach out to customers and verify account information. Greet customers warmly and ascertain problem or reason for calling. Assist with placement of orders, refunds, or exchanges.

Overtime is available, can work more then 40 hours a week, friendly staff. 

not much support once you are done training and are on the floor, they don't really show support if you have a problem you just need to get it done.

Getting screamed at most of your shift, having your stats posted for all your coworkers to see

It has a toxic work environment, horrible for your mental health

Log in, take calls, wait for hours on end for approval, get screamed at by members and by towing companies

The managers are really nice, the customers are always angry when they call in due to their vehicle breaking down, sometimes you can't find a service provider to help them if they are in a remote area. The hardest part of the job was finding a tow truck for somebody in a low populated area, a typical day was about 8-10 hours long with a steady flow of call volume coming in.

Aside from a couple of reliable people, management was incompetent. It was far too easy to walk all over them and get away with it, which many employees did. Work culture is absolutely toxic and having a good work ethic is not rewarded with anything other than more work, in order to pick up the slack for your fellow employees.
