A great place to work, the kind of company that although it’s been growing in leaps and bounds over the last several years it still has a family feel. In my experience as a more senior employee the more you put in the more you will get out of it, employees with a strong work ethic, look after their equipment and do their job well will rise quickly. 

This company has a terrible track record of treatment towards employees. They have a bunch of poorly trained foreman who do not care about the employees. When issues are brought to supervisors they are brushed aside and ignored. It's your typical poorly run construction company and I feel that they are not going to be around for another 70 years if they keep going the way they have been.

Usually starting between 6:30 and 7:00 am. These people work hard. If you’re willing you can learn a lot about excavating here. Generally speaking, management is good because they have field experience and understand the job well.
Don Mann has been around for many years, and therefore the workplace culture is strong. The most enjoyable part of the job is working with a very skilled and experienced group of people. 

A great place to work and a great family to work for, I could not imagine a better place to work in the excavating world. The Mann family have consistently provided me with quality equipment over many years and have supported me personally and professionally throughout my time here and I look forward to what the future brings. 

A local company that 'never says no.' If they cant achieve your dreams, they will find someone who will. Always putting the customer first, Don Mann Excavating has professional operators and a fleet of tandem dump trucks and slingers.

Great company run by a great family that keeps it feeling like a family run operation even with the tremendous growth in recent years, the best place to work if you want to be in the excavating business. 

Good atmosphere, family-owned, community feel. Good benefits and competitive pay. Great people to work for and with. Managers are committed to safety and teaching new skills. 

RRSP matching is great! 

Lousy pay, management doesn't give a toss. You'll be expected to use your own vehicle at first. Strangely difficult to arrange fuel for machines.
Some really old machinery. Get a job somewhere else.


Awesome place to work. Great people who really care about the employees and their customers. Very generous owners and management team - I feel very valued being at Don Mann.
