It is very straightforward for the most part. Serve customers, clean while you go, complete assigned chores as well as additional tasks when it isn't busy. Very busy in the summer, a line up out the door for hours at time. During the winter it slows down and hours are cut (but not by much if you're reliable and full time). Very flexible with scheduling, you will never usually have an issue getting days off unless you gave less than 2 weeks notice. But even then they will sometimes be able to accommodate you. There are opportunities to learn different shifts the longer you stay at the company and prove your reliability. The coworkers are great and we always have fun while getting our job done. The tips supplement a decent amount on each paycheck. On average an extra $4 an hour in 2024. The benefits are also great, a 9 month wait, but worth it for what you get. You will recieve a raise usually once or twice a year based on seniority and preformance. Sometimes there is drama, but it is best to just focus on your job and not feed into it. Other than that, one of the best places I've been employed at. The owners truly take care of their staff. Highly recommend for long term!

Family of management/owners can no show, or just be insanely bad or lazy at the job with zero repercussions and you just have to do your job and theirs for them a lot of the time (if they show up). Management is full of gossip, drama and pretty petty unless you suck up to them, also there is obvious favouritism. If you want to keep your job, work-life balance is non existent. Lots of staff groups together in weird "cliques" and make fun of you to your face and behind your back. Not very sanitary and the morning shift/managers can leave messes all over, but if you're closing staff and you leave a bit of a small mess it's the worst thing in the world. Depending on your position though, the job is pretty simple, and you make a lot more money than you'd expect for a fast food chain. Plenty of over sharing goes on and honestly it's best to keep your personal life private, no matter how much your coworkers will pry. All in all if you're able to ignore the management, being overworked, and your coworkers, it's not the worst job in the world, although often enough customers will make you question if it's worth it to stay or not. Best bet is to make a pretty buck and get out of here.

Sometimes is stressful to the point you begin bonding with coworkers due to a shared sense of insanity. Others, a super chill environment. Get ready to clean on these days, but we always are having fun with each other. Great management. Overall, an amazing first, second, even third job.

The management does not care about the problems going on and do nothing to fix it. They dont like suggestions or any new ideas, its dirty nothing is properly cleaned and if the health inspector dug around they would probably be shut down due to a bug problem. the equipment is very old and doesnt work but management does not want to spend money to fix it.

The Donut Mill was a great place to work at, wonderful owners but sometimes had issues with scheduling as I had to take the bus. Management sometimes was a little crazy but im sure that goes for everywhere.

One of the best companies I've ever had the pleasure to work for.  The environment here is fun and fast paced in the summer and chill in the winter.  The regulars are amazing, food and donuts are great.  

I was not treated with respect by any of my superiors or supervisors. the atmosphere between employees was terrible and i often felt judged. the Supervisors did not do anything and let the new hires learn on their own 

The jobs starts out as a seemingly good place to work. Training is provided, and it's a fast pace. However, if you get hurt on the job, it won't matter how good of an employee you are. WCB claims cost money. So if you want to stay employed, don't file one, as you will be fired after the claim.

Dirty kitchen, uncommunicative and combative management but good work experience and would be great for short term. Just don’t get stuck, at the end of the day no matter how much work you put in your just an employee and your replaceable 

Very big problem with communication. Other supervisors and management do not communicate with eachother. Young staff does their job half way. A lot of banter amoung staff including management.
