I was a stagier and my experience to Douglas hospital the burgess side it was good all the employees were super nice and helped me a lot. In the beginning on my first day I was completely lost I didn’t know how the stations work or anything but gradually I learned a lot during those 3 weeks. My maître de stagier was really good I have learned a lot and each week I would improve and learn more faster. It’s a really good and interesting place to do stage.

Worked in the Administrative Support department. The cattiest bunch of women I have ever had the misfortune to work with!The Supervisor was no better. All in all a horrible experience. No training to speak of, and was left to figure out things on my own. I was holed up in an office in another building separate from the rest of the department and basically told to figure it out!

The work environment was very pleasant overall. co-coworkers were cooperative and helpful. The job required specific knowledge about how data being handled on records, thus to make sure every information made since and in the right format and so to spot mistakes. In addition, I got the chance to learn some SPS skills.

The Douglas is a great place to work.  The thing I love best about this hospital is it's unending quest towards destigmatizing mental illness.  Through research, teaching and continuous support this hospital practices daily the need for each of us to use compassion and empathy when dealing with the mentally ill.

What is the best part of working at the company?
4 week vacation after a year minimum

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Very bad pay, 19$/h with a bachelor degree is gery sad

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
My lab had a very toxic work culture and boss was asking us to do very unethical things

My bosses were really good people who you could talk to. My work schedule was very flexible which I liked a lot and my job was great, had my own office and co-workers were very nice. I enjoyed having conversations with some of the patients who were very nice and welcoming

I like work in this place with such beautiful, tolerant and understanding people. 
I have never had a problem getting a permit for an appointment or for something with family.  It really is a pleasure to work here. 

This was a great opportunity to develop my research skills and be able to learn from knowledgable superiors. I had a great experience in the laboratory.

Interesting lab job, lab staff were friendly and helpful with learning technique and timing and willing to answers questions. Daunting in the beginning because work alone in the lab.
