The management at this company could use some improvement. The leadership team, including the general manager, general sales manager, and sales manager, doesn't provide the necessary support and tools for success. Meetings often feel unproductive, and the sales targets seem unrealistic and unattainable. It can be challenging to achieve these targets given the lack of inventory, leading to situations where promises are made to clients without the stock to back them up.

The work environment is not ideal, with long hours that go beyond what is typical at other dealerships, and a lack of job security. The commission structure seems inadequate, with additional pressure from managers to meet sales quotas. Moreover, employees are expected to perform tasks outside their roles, such as retrieving cars from distant storage locations, which adds to the stress.

The physical workplace could also be improved. The showroom is often used for storage, and the air quality can be concerning due to running engines indoors. The pay structure is tied to Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores, but achieving high scores is difficult due to stock shortages and unpredictable delivery times.

Management's behavior can be a source of stress for the sales team. Instead of providing encouragement, some managers can be overly critical and use inappropriate language. This creates an environment where employees feel pressured rather than supported.

Additionally, there's a lack of proper organization in the dealership. Important items like keys or files can be misplaced, which further hampers productivity. Management's focus on non-work-related activities and personal interests also detracts from the overall effectiveness of the team.

Overall, this workplace may not be suitable for those seeking a stable, supportive, and professional environment. It’s a more of a short-term experience, there are opportunities and room for improvement but the management refuses to change anything that makes the employees life better.

A terrible company to work for!

The management sucks. You are over worked and have no time for a proper break. 

Upper management will fully lie to you and say you’ve earned a raise for your hard work and never give it to you. 

You’re constantly put down for not “doing enough” when you’re doing a million jobs you’re not getting paid to do. 

I’ve heard stories about a lot of people leaving because of upper management and then bringing them to the labour board. 

DON’T BOTHER APPLYING. 

Executive are supportive and work with you to achieve success. The expectations are high but realistic.  They operate as a proper business not a country club , if you want to learn and grow this is a great company . If you are looking to coast  through the day go work in a fast food chain. As with any proper business you are expected to fulfil the functions and responsibilities of your job on a daily basis. The tools and support are always there when you need them.

There is no to zero management at this place. If you are working as service porter be ready because everyone is gonna be depending on you from greeting the customer,  managing the really small parking lot to sales people and even techs.  As I said earlier  parking lot is really small. Only for 15-18 cars excluding the 6-7 test drive cars. And you have to manage daily minimum 25 to maximum  55 appointments. It's always shitshow.

When the opportunity came about for me to join DAG (Downtown Auto Group), I did not hesitate. I knew DAG was the leader within automotive groups and offered amazing opportunities for their team. I am grateful to be a part of a supportive, fun and energetic team that is customer- focused and believes in and trusts their employees.

Be alert before the customers come.
Welcome them with hospitality.
Show them the cars in your office and sales them before test drive on the road.
Discover if they are the potential buyer or not and consult your manager.
Always dress neat and tidy and professional looking.
Be ware of those who is playing games.
The most happy time is that you make a sales.

Like any position you would take with any company you're expected to perform the duties you were hired for whether it be a technician, receptionist or in sales. Come to work every day and don't be late and do the job you're hired to do and everything will work out great and you will be appreciated. 

All level of management have no clue on running an automotive business and actually try to make money off their employee. When you lost 6-8 employees in 6 months spans speaks how good of their management team, and i dont think higher management team give a dame about it. Will not recommend any one to apply there

Management only cares about office workers and managers. Technicians, car wash, porters, drivers etc, are all treated as if they are expendable. No job security. Broken promises. Good employees leave here all the time because of management.
