Horrible place to work,  trucks and equipment are literally falling apart at the seams, short on trucks, not enough techs, no heat or a/c in building, or most trucks, to make it even worse, when equipment breaks it's your fault,  you must get it working,  even if your aerator is splits in half, you must find a way or be reprimanded for not completing your route. Really low wages for techs compared to other lawn care companies, no ppe for techs, uniforms come directly off your pay cheque. Lots of jobs in many different municipalities per day, can't get it done, your a bad person. Very high turnaround,  no idea how to treat people here. Do yourself a favour,  if you going to get screwed by a lawn care company at least by one that pays better, example Trugreen or Hometurf.

I was recruited in 2012 to be a member of Doctor Green's door to door sales staff, and ultimately had a good experience with it (I eventually left at the end of the year to pursue a career in my field). The sales training was effective, and once I was able to apply myself I actually had a lot of fun working independently and in the team environment as well. Management was easy to get along with and I was very happy with the money I was making. Working the weekend wasn't always fun but I have to admit the money was worth it!

This outfit is run like it's the 1970s. Equipment from that era. Family run business, general manager is untrained and doesn't know the business. 
Technicians like me were expected to complete 40 to 50 jobs per day spread out in multiple cities.  The expected the manager to do the same. We felt bad for him.  This company has lost multiple labour board complaints due to mistreatment/not paying employees promised bonuses

As an employer this company is good for summer students who want to make some money in between semesters. It was a good job because I learned a lot about small business operations but there was no advancement possible.

I enjoyed my three year stint and my fellow employee’s were the main reason.  The work is enjoyable and it’s all outdoors!  I met a lot of great customers and was treated well by the clientele.
I would do it again if I was younger.

i didnt work at dr.green for a long time but for the time i did work there i was amazed at the environment, the management is friendly and inviting. The Job comes with its challenges but over all it was a wonderful place to work

This job is what you make it , everyday is different.  some days are long , driving demands , production demands, early mornings, long days at times.  Pace yourself.

Commission based, the harder you work the more you make. Very accommodating , and a friendly atmosphere. slightly gloomy workplace but very fun environment.
