Be aware that you might have a few hours of work for the next day. As a condition of employment they DO NOT PROMISE it. If you do not have work, they are not really concerned IF YOU DO NOT. For the company to profit from your work and efforts THE PAY IS MINIMUM WAGE with them taking a big chunk of what they charge out to the employer FOR YOUR PHYSICAL LABOR where you are going!! Since the labor law rules changed / reduced from 4 hours to 3 hours do not expect to eat fillet mignon. Drake International does not have a reputation for the best workers. Many of the employers that end up with temps from DRAKE DO NOT THINK HIGHLY OF THE DRAKE TEMPS so don't expect to be treated with great respect. Office staff turnover is common and your placement person can disappear and walk off the job any time. Be aware that your own fellow employees are back stabbers so that you loose placements for them to get the few requests for staff that Drake gets.If DRAKE promises you a permanent placement - IT IS A BIG LIE. You can be released and let go without notice. Office staff will hide from you if you get blamed for the mistakes made by the office staff.

Drake International likes to think that they’re completely professional, they make you think that your hours will be flexible. The truth is where I worked, the real manager was never there, I was under the assumption that my hours would be flexible, but the days I took off they made it an extremely big deal. 
The communication with the manager was also terrible, they would text me confirming work on a different phone number than the one they call me on. I would try to tell them that I wasn’t going into work but they would say they never received the text.
One day I never received a text about work the next day. The next day I don’t go into work and they call me asking where I was, when they never sent me a text. 


Overall the only good thing was the other employees, the community in the workplace was nice and most of my co workers were really nice to me.
 It wasn’t worth it though, there’s better jobs out there with way better management and communication.


Firstly, they false advertised for forklift position, they never even had the contract yet and I had to wait almost a month. The woman didn't know anything about the position. When I got there, the job was a material handler and not a general forklift position. The people at the job placement were very unhappy and were bullies to me until I finally walked out and quit because of verbal harassment. I told the woman at Drake that I walked out because of being harassed. 2 days later, the woman at Drake told me that the manager at my placement wanted me back but I refused. Then without her investigating the matter, a month later, I received a letter from Drake stating that I'm fired for walking off the job. By law, it is my right to walk off the job if being harassed or feel threatened. Drake doesn't back their employees, they just throw them out like garbage.

My experience at Drake International was extremely disappointing, mainly due to the poor management and terrible work hours. The management is disorganized and lacks any sense of leadership. They fail to communicate effectively, leaving employees confused and frustrated. The work hours are ridiculous, with no regard for work-life balance. They expect employees to work long shifts with little to no notice, making it impossible to plan anything outside of work. The lack of proper scheduling and last-minute changes make the job extremely stressful. Despite raising concerns, management does nothing to address the issues. It’s clear they don’t value their employees or their well-being. I would not recommend working here unless you’re prepared to be overworked and underappreciated. This place needs a complete overhaul in management and a serious reevaluation of how they treat their employees.

Working at Drake Canada feels like working for a horseshoe maker who didn't realize everyone is now driving electric cars. Despite the change in the market that has been happening for decades, they continue to sell low quality horseshoes because it's all they've ever known.

What adds to the frustration is that the leadership appears to be focused on short-term gains, cutting costs to achieve minimal profitability for their own bonuses, without considering a long-term strategy. It's easy for them to disregard the future because they'll likely be retired by the time the consequences become apparent.


I was given maybe 3 or 4 shifts in the 2 months that I worked for this company. Communication was very one sided, and notice for a job was often given an hour before the shift started. The one Client I worked for more than once was great, he even requested me when he needed a job done. But other clients hated that I was there because I was from an "outside" contractor. It made for a very uncomfortable and hostile work environment, and when I informed my supervisor she didn't believe me and told me to continue working. 
With the inconsistency of shifts, and often no replies from the supervisor, I could not afford to continue this job. If you're looking for an on call, part time job... then this would be for you. However if you're looking to pay your Bill's or even buy food, look somewhere else. 

Working for Bell was an interesting position, i had learned so much and also enjoyed my job as a customer service representative, the only downfall to the job was that i was hired through a temp. agency so the job was only temporary. I had 4 full weeks of hands on training, learning about all of Bell's products, how to deal with customers, and also learning how to use all of the programs for the billing department of Bell home phone. The hardest part of the job was having to meet the sales requirements and also being evaluated on basically everything. The cow-workers and management staff were always great, they made the job more enjoyable. After getting laid off from Bell, i was satisfied with everything i had learned through the company and i planned to use all of my skills in my future employment.

i enjoy my work and a environment around me ,call consumers and how i became help to get them out of the situation where they just stuck with little mistake and solve for them.like to achieve my everyday goal and appreciate by my associate. management is really helpful   as i just start recently they have no problem to help me when i need it .hard part of job is when a customer know everything about situation but denied and you need to explain them again and again even after you know they not gonna settle in end but this part of job can't give up or let them go because they just ignore the fact . but the fact is i love my work because i got  to know different people and learn about different personalities  .

Applied for a position at the salary range was within what I was looking for. Seen the same job posting through the company awhile ago but didn't receive a call back but since Drake had the job I went through them. Did the test and I was told that I was what the company was looking for but didn't receive the job because the posting that they made was not the salary posted so instead of contacting me and telling me the option, they decided to not go that route but repost the job with a lower salary. Honesty is a trait I look for and they just don't have it. If you want your name dragged through the mud then you go with this agency because I'm sure they lied about me not being able to work since I probably found another position. 
I tend to not go with agency just because of that.

A typical day at work involves excessive amounts of physical labour such as heavy lifting, standing for extended periods of time and breaking down pallets as well as stacking and organizing skids. While working here, I acquired knowledge of how to use a pallet jack as well as time management skills to work quickly and efficiently. The management team is very accommodating with hours which is a bonus for people who need flexibility in their schedules. My co-workers are very hard working and are kind individuals. The hardest part of my day is doing the demanding physical labour, such as heavy lifting, but the most enjoyable part is being able to work with my friends on a daily basis.
