Dress for Success

I found this company through a friend of mine who was going through a hard time in her life ,and she told me about their values and morals .I thought very highly about it and agreed with what they stand for and who they are .How they support women who have gone through unfortunate circumstances and temporary setbacks in their lives. I quite enjoyed my job they're very much and I know I can go back to them anytime.  I most likely will it was very enjoyable going through items and placing them on the shelves dusting, cleaning Etc sorting the clothes of all Brands and sizes and the jewelry placing them out for display ,in hope that a woman would come in and feel like a million bucks when leaving .Sometimes it's the small things in life that can give somebody a big smile and just to know that helping out for a few hours somewhere can make a huge difference in somebody's life means more to me than the world amazing beautiful hard-working people.

I can honestly say that my time spent interning with Dress for Success Toronto resulted in one of the best summers of my life. Not only did I gain practice skills about how to community with fantastic people but I also learned many knowledge of management during this internship. For example, I learned how to make an effort to maintain a community with each people and the etiquettes in suit, in addition to improving  my English. The most important thing is I know how to fulfill tasks relevant to my desired career path in the future.

I thoroughly enjoyed working as an intern (volunteer) Communications Coordinator for Dress for Success. The staff are very friendly, and contributing to the community's services helping women start, continue and advance in their careers is extremely rewarding. I worked on two campaigns for Dress for Success and contributed to the development of marketing and communication content for the company's Fall 2018 initiatives.

Dress for Success was a great workplace for me.Everyday I had to collect a lot of donations from various companies and a coffee with the whole team was a must. I attended different charity programs and galas during my work period over there. 
The most enjoyable part of my job was helping the volunteers and clients to select what kind of employment clothing/interview suit they needed.
Overall, Dress For Success was great to work for.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I received a task for my shift and completed it within a certain time

I volunteer in the boutique helping women find outfits to wear to job interviews and this year I am on the fundraising committee for the annual fundraising gala. The women I volunteer with are all very lovely and the women that work here are so wonderful and doing amazing work in the community.

I typically handle client's personal information, I then base appointments on that, but overall my day is very relaxed. Management is personable and friendly, as are all board members.

I enjoyed helping out here and plan to continue to volunteer my time when I can. The staff are friendly and it provides a great experience for going out into the work force.

Really delightful and welcoming management, it is a great place to work at if fashion and styling is your passion. Helping others find the right fit is always a plus!
